Nijmegen coffee shops/smoker friendly bars

Hi, I am visiting Nijmegen in April and I am keen to visit some coffee shops during my stay. As I am from Scotland i am wondering what is the policy on tourists using coffee shops there?
Also are there any smoker friendly bars in Nijmegen?
Any info is much appreciated!

I don´t know if there is any smoker friendly bar in Nijmegen but the coffeeshops are open for tourists..
I was in Nijmegen only one time... If you like good imported hash the Kruidentuin Coffeeshop is the
place to go in Nijmgen... it´s a maroccan shop with a huge hash menu... not the friendliest staff but they
are ok...

the shop t´wonder was not so good (near the Station)... the Hija Hash (11€/g) was ok to average... but like
I said I was only one time there... maybe Quality changed

Thanks Marok...good to know that the coffee shops are tourist friendly there! And yes good quality hash is my preference so will be sure to check out Kruidentuin.

Anyone know if there are any bars where I can drink beer and smoke weed?

I'm kind of a regular in Nijmegen these days and going there since years as well.
Don't know about smoker friendly bars there but I'm sure you'll find one. Just ask in case first when you're in any pub/bar.
Menus do change a bit every now and then in Nijmegen except for Kruidentuin(go there if you're into hashish, one of the best in general in my humble opinion.)but grass isn't that special.
Better than the average weed from the black market I'd say.
Kronkel is a nice place for socialising and eating, pretty busy but big enough. Please stay away from Jetset and Dreadrock in the same alley(reported cases of contaminated weed)and always check your grass everywhere first!
Dakota is similar, good place to eat and 'gezellig'.
If you're more into weed take the journey to Arnhem, it's just 10-20 minutes away from Nijmegen. Better weed there(I'd suggest: Zero-Zero, Pinguin, Upstairs and Thc in that case!)

Have you been to Arnhem yet? I think I read a post of you. If not and you're in that area one day please check out coffeeshop Thc for hashish ! Similar quality as Kruidentuin but their menu changes more often and quality is most often good! Pretty laid back and friendly staff.

Thanks for the info, i am looking forward to visiting the coffee shops mentioned. The hash on the Kruidentuin menu looks really nice. Had to google the word 'gezellig', im taking it to mean 'nice atmosphere'.

Lucky Luke just round the corner from Kronkel was my favorite along with Dakota. Dakota have some weird loyalty scheme where if you buy a 15Euro bag you get to roll dice and you get a free bag eventually. I was far to high to understand it but I have a card in my wallet that I dont think I will be back soon enough to use. If you are interested in it give me a shout.
