I agree, and if beta blockers altered your state of mind like antidepressants and tranquillisers do I wouldnt go anywhere near them. But it simply sits dormant in your system waiting to regulate your adrenaline if you go into panic. You dont even know it's there.

On top of which, thousands of people use them regularly - soldiers on the battlefield so they dont get a wobble on a shot, surgeons to keep their hands steady in delicate operations, musicians and actors to avoid stage fright. This is the reason they are banned in sports where a steady nerve is needed (golf, snooker etc) - taking them is considered gaining an unfair advantage.

They're very common and they dont affect your head in any way. Most important of all, they are foolproof and work.
