How can you even recommend lost in Amsterdam, the place is a tourist trap rip off with overly priced drinks which you are almost always asked/forced to buy another if you want to stay.
.
F**k this place!!!
Get yourself a tram pass get on the 17, go to 1e hulp as suggested pick up some quality gear have a smoke; then get back on the tram for a couple more stops and find the Kashmir lounge, this is the place that Lost In Amsterdam wishes it was.

I agree, kashmir is a great place

I mostly prefer going there and having a beer which i actually want and enjoy instead of several coffees or soft drinks. free wifi and you can find a comfy seat although the place is has quite low levels of lighting, on a Friday and Saturday night the bar staff may even give you some free bar snacks, several times a little platter of meats, nuts, cheese, olives and crisps has been offered for free to our group, generally they are laid out on the bar at weekends.

I disagree! I never ws force to buy drinks at lost in Amsterdam . Wish that they were Kashmir lounge ? A dead zone whit max 3 ppl? Yeah sure! I think Kashmir lounge wish they have a business running has good then lost in Amsterdam! Last time I checked they only sold alcohol and them hookahs < other thing don't recall Kashmir having them for people to use .
If the guy is looking for chill zone whit no people around and a possibility of falling asleep or have a section Kashmir is a good spot. If he's looking to meet new people and smoke from them hookah pipes lost in Amsterdam is a great place!!

Just read the Kashmir lounge thread, you will find that they do let you use the hooker pipes (without charging you €15 for the privilege) and that this place is often filled with people especially in the evening.

Im most certainly going to try hit up 1e after all the positive vibes! Kashmir Lounge is appealing too as I have roots in Kashmir

It's going to be an adventure becaue 1e isn't on the ACD map, and that's my only reference point to getting around. The street names mean nothing to me, only the Cofeeshops i've previously visited, they are basically landmarks to me haha

This map has 1e Hulp on it:
http://www.ultimatecoffeeshopguide.com/ ... eeshop-map
Zoom in and check the intersection of Marnixstraat and Rozengracht.
If you get to that intersection you will see it.
Enjoy

head for cafe soun garden or coffeeshop funky money, 1e is off to the left at the cross road junction on marnix & rozen
from 1e walk out the door, turn right again and keep walking until you come to another junction, on the corner is a bus car park, you can get the bus to or from the airport here.
Turn Right at the junction and just keep walking straight.
