I've heard a lot of great things about this shop. How's the crowd going here? Are they generally friendly?

Re: Utopia
I'm really excited about trying this place out, we'll probably be in on Tuesday. What times are they open?
And is the Citronella still there?

Re: Utopia
@ Fat top- the regulars here are generally our mates and I consider them a nice bunch.
Many of them used to hang out when I worked at Homegrown Fantasy and it's good to be back in the neighbourhood getting the banter with the old crew again.
@papillondenuit- looking forward to seeing you and the citronella won't be running out any time soon.
Just as a side note; Ingi and I are both putting in six days a week at the moment and the two shifts that we have off are being covered by the owner. These are the Sunday morning shift and the Tuesday evening one, when I get a night off to go play in the local poker league.
As I've said up thread, the owner is not from the coffee shop industry and if you come in on his shifts you may not be able to get all the answers you might expect regarding the menu- as demonstrated on moogle's first report. I can only hope that the menu will make up for any shortfall in service in these circumstances.
We hope soon to recruit a suitable candidate to complete the shopfloor team which will allow the owner to return to his preferred back office role.

Re: Utopia
Awesome, thank you! We'll try to stop by Tuesday morning then. Or perhaps Wednesday.
Re: Utopia
I'm defo gonna hit this shop next week, from the 14th. I wish you all the best with your new enterprise, you seem like 2 cool dudes that deserve it, hopefully ill have a spliff in your company next week, beating cisco to the job in the process!

If in doubt, have a spliff
Re: Utopia
So we've settled on a new logo graphic for the window, should get done this week.
It'll look something like this

We're hoping the white lettering will make the shop more visible from the street.

Re: Utopia
Looks great, design is cool. We hit town the 27th of April and will be stopping in for a smoke and a coke. Are there bongs on loan here?
Re: Utopia
Pretty cool! nel ze bub, I meant to ask you.. Was it you I was talking to that day in Utopia?? I was given a free coffee
we spent a while chatting... Or was that Ingi?
Re: Utopia
@ Moogle- that was Ingi, I'm a big bald beardy fella, hope I catch you next time.
@ Grumblefoot- right now I have borrowed a 5mm little sister RooR from my friends at the RooR showroom. If it proves popular enough we will sign up to their coffeeshop hire scheme which will ensure three branded bongs, cleaned every week without me having to scrub them.
If it doesn't we will probably still have one and I'll just have to get the Grunge-off out every few days!
