sully wrote:Nel z bub I have to say I like what I have been reading in this thread it really sounds like you folks are trying to turn this place around. I will definitely be dropping in on my next visit in March can't wait to try that citronella. What is the hash like? And what are the opening times?
I've only tried two types of hash from here.. but they were both were good, the nepalese temple ball was on par with a lot of the good black hash around.. only €8.. The caramello was very tasty though, it's excellent with a coffee.

We ended up going on Tuesday I think it was... And we were served by Ingi I would reckon. Amazing service and product knowledge... I bought some Citronella which was my very favorite purchase of the trip. A perfect afternoon smoke, but would be too much for the morning at least for me. Also got the Edelweiss which was just right for the evening.

My next visit to Amsterdam will be on March 30 and 31 and then again on April 9 thru 13. At some point during that time I am definitely going to visit this shop. I have been reading the posts here and I have become quite intrigued. I am impressed by the explosion of comments since January. I am looking forward to the experience.

It's been nice to meet some more ACDers this week- coming by to say hello and trying out the menu.
I'm looking forward to meeting more of you and to hearing what you think.
Got the new window sticker ordered and it should go up early next week. Will hopefully have some before and after pictures for you soon.

Is the utopia under new management ?. Or is it still run by the thieving bastards that charged me an extra day for a room when I had already paid for. That was back in 98'.
Next trip 1st August 2015. 2 weeks camping/putting my feet up.

@tdw121270- As Lamont says there has been a recent change in the running of the coffeeshop.
Since your visit in 98 the business has changed hands more than once, with the current owner having been in charge for the past five years or so.

I am most envious of the peeps that are going there soon to check it out. HGF has been a regular haunt for years & I have sometimes wondered whether to stroll across the road to check Utopia out. Once the HGF weed kicks in however I have been content to sit & let wonderfully obscure thoughts enter my head & I never visited Utopia. This time in early April, things will be different, Utopia is top of my must visit places. As we all know best intentions are often an exercise in futility after a few joints but I am determined to visit between 3-5 April next.
Nel, as Munkee pointed out, have you got a vap or have any plans to get one in the near future?
