As February ends

Post by Smith2 »

...the first trip of the year begins.

This would be a live report - not too baked yet, though working on it - but I can't type at length on a phone
And pictures seem to get rejected, as some limit has been reached.

Love live reports! Try uploading them via a site called tinypic, rather than through the forum directly. I was getting same message & this works for me! Anyway enjoy your trip & have a blast!

Enjoy your stay !

Upload pictures to a 3rd party image hosting website (ie postimage.org), then click the 'Img' button at the top of the message text box, copy in the web address of the image between the []'s =) If you use postimage there is a button that auto copies the image web address in a format that means you don't have to bother clicking the 'Img' button, just copy and paste straight in.

March now. Time to go back to the Vale of Tears. But a day of smoking and exploring ahead, and not even any rain yet. Nor sun, and it's a tad chilly.

I can't remember being here when there were biggish Saturday meetings - Doncaster and Newbury, I think, today. And I know about the bookie at Leidseplein now...

The horses on show are quite disappointing for a Saturday. With the festival round the corner, I suppose it's to be expected.

Does that bookies only operate a tote like system? Every bookie I've found on the continent seems to....

Tote, and impenetrable to me, though I suppose it's similar to the UK Tote, apart from terminology.

Might as well not bother and enjoy the smoke. Bookies enough back home, and of course Cheltenham around the corner.

Edit:

I'd be backing Renard right now, e/w, in the UK.
