First time in Amsterdam!!!

Post by DaveBass »

Good day to all of you,

Im going to the Dam the first week of April 07 and I just can't wait. It is my first time and I've been dreaming about it ever since I was introduce to that wonderfull sweet MaryJane some 15 years ago. Thanks to this site I was able to find out where to go to have a good and really really HIGH time!!! By the way sorry for my english, im french-canadian 8)

So I would like to know your point of view on a couples of questions that I was not able to find the anser for...
Is it ok to toke on the street if it's not to crowded, walking along the canal, near museum? Or should it be only a coffeeshop or hotel room thing?
Best place for shroom?
Best place for space food that Im gonna feel something with?

Take care everybody
Thanks for you time...

What dates in April? I'll post your trip on the Whos In Town page.

I suggest S G Collin's site How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam as mandatory reading for the first time Amsterdam visitor.

Toking on the street. Use common sense, don't fire up in a crowd of school kids or old folks. I have walked many canals toking as I go.

Shrooms. for my money Conscious Dreams is the place to go.

Space cakes. Rather spotty quality, Abraxas hash milkshakes are generally good.

i would agree with what fbn has to say 100%, i didnt really get a buzz of off any space cake, but the hash shake from abraxas was decent; it tasted very good, and you could taste the hash.

have fun on ur trip!

Yes, their milkshakes are superb. They used to mix the hash in for you whilst making up the milkshake but now you have to buy a shake and then buy the hash for it from the budtender and mix it in yourself.

really??? when did that start????

i guess that could be also a good thing as you can select which kind of hash and how much u would like in it....

what i wanna know, is if anyone actually caught a buzz from one of them.. i didnt ,but then again i smoke a shitload and didnt expect to get a buzz.. on my upcoming trip i was hoping to have a couple and try to get a nice stone off of them, we will see how it goes!

I was there in the middle of Jan of and it was their policy then I'd read about it on here or the other site before I flew over so was expecting it. Bit of a fag really as there's no way you could mix the hash into the shake yourself as comprehensively as they do with the machine.

To be honest I purchased a couple of shakes and just couldn't be bothered to buy the hash so drank them without. I agree with you Cheese, it's tricky to know what kind of effect it has as I'm always well mashed from smoking by the time I get around to ordering a shake.
