what with the centrum becoming harder for coffeeshops to trade from and hunters take over of two shops in the north are we seeing the start of an exodus to stan's side of the river?

it could make sense, the rents must be cheaper for a start and cloggie authority loves a situation it can turn a blind eye to. they could get us drug tourists out of the centrum and off the red carpet, thus adding to the conceit of Amsterdam being a classy place suitable for families and culture lovers.
are there many shops in the north that the big lads from the centrum could buy out? I've only been to the north a couple of times and that was years ago to get to a campsite, so I have no real idea of the c.s. situation over there.

perhaps it's time for gapie to open a little b&b.

Noord is not really Amsterdam. Although most people of the old Jordaan has moved to this area it hasnt the same vibe of the Centre. The coffeshops xperience will change for tourist and i think that you guys will head to Denver, uruguay or soms other new place.

I'd compared Noord to what Hoxton/Shoreditch were like about 10 years ago. It's become quite hip, having long been somewhat overlooked by trendy society but used by the younger generation because it was cheap and not too far from the centre, and now the property prices are steadily rising. In a few years it will be a 'cultural hotspot' as it's already becoming quite popular with the younger generation who are starting to move there instead of somewhere like De Pijp (that bit is a bit of an assumption but it's what I've been told). Maybe it's comparable to the shift in popularity from Camden to the part of East London ranging from about Old Street to Hackney/Dalston.

I'm not sure about going other places like Denver etc, but I have been exploring other cities in NL and plan on doing that more than just Ams. I love the city, but NL also has some other great places like The Hague and Leeuwarden as have been mentioned recently in the forum. As each city makes their own rules for coffeeshops, changes in Ams don't mean that other cities are changing as well. So people looking to get out and try other places might dig other NL cities, which have a lot of the same cool cultural and architecture but a different coffeeshopp experience than Ams. Just a thought.

Hahaha you guys are crazy.. Forget Holland. The government has already destroyed de wallen and now the try to get rid of the coffeeshops. The weed is already overpriced and not as good as previous years. I don't understand why you guys don't take trips to sunnier places with natural herb.

I don't dabs and al the other shits so Denver isn't really my cup of tea but I would loved to smoke some high quality garda made from Hindu kush.
