eve one:

4 of us flew in late monday eve,
de kuil:
NYCD- indica so ok, i prefer the sativa phentotype NYCD.
WW- top quality.
Bluberry- ok
Shiva- tsaty and pleasant

chilled and waited for the first tokes to hit us all. Drank some juices and played cards. The music was at a good level and chilled rock is always nice to smoke too. Was not super busy in there, but the staff were still pleasant.

day one:

hunters for wake and bake. One of our group went to meet a friend who lives and holland and see then chilled with us for most of the day. Some rock solid buds of mothers finest were bought and enjoyed, as was some crystal covered kushage sativa. The music though, was loud and not amazing. A few nice beats here and there, but mostly lame house style music. The menu was big, and the 2 grams my mates bought were well enjoyed for the trip, but i don't think we will visit for long again. Most expensive drinks of the trip too, dam touristy areas!

tweede kamer was next for our group. Small shop, full of locals, a goos sign compared to the touristy hunters. I bought some Jala hash for 10e which was lovely smelling and gave a clear high. It is a mid range rifman hash which crumbles easily, it doesnt have a super strong taste, but is a fantastic all round smoke. Perfect for during the day. We stayed in tweede for an hour or so and i had an iced tea, first in a long long time and it was to be one of my favourite discoverys of the trip. A light sparkle, bit of caffiene and sugar to keep you going and a sweet taste to cure dry mouths....

A nice little CS, many locals, unlike the de dampkring, great menu and a fine place to spend a few hours.

from tweede kamer we walked via Albert Heijn (sp?) for snacks to Grey Area. It was packed out inside so i quickly bought a gram of grey berry to split with one of the lads. John was helpful and friendly as ever, despite being busy. Next we tried Amnesia, again near full, the odd bar seat, but nothing for a group of 5.

So i suggested we try Siberie and what a good choice it was. Spent a good few hours sat around a nice big table, enjoying our drinks playing different card games. Some cheap green was bought by a mate and it was ok, nothing amazing, but did the trick! The only downside was the door did not close all the way so there was a cold draft. It seemed like a locals coffeeshop, we were the only none dutch speakers there and people we in and out picking up or meeting people for a warm drink and joint. The music was at a good level, and mostly chilled, so a top place, worth a visit to chill out.

Hear i smoked a pure j of grey berry which was very nice for a afternoon smoke. Nice and pleasant, not too strong, but just high enough to enjoy cards. Burnt well, smelled great, tasted great. Top gear from Grey Area as ever!

Next up was a nice walk through the Jordaan to Spirit CS. Again this CS couldn't have come at a better time, after a good fours hours or so of cards a good few hours of pool was had. Spirit is quite, a few locals sat around the small bar talking, but delve into the back and there is a great area to sit and play pool (they have 2 tables, plus air hockey). It might be a little grubby, but its a great CS to spend a few quite hours away from the hustle and bustle of tourist central.

After a few hours we had a nice, but cold walk back to the hostel (flying pig downtown). One of the group tried to get a friend in, but that is not allowed so 3 of us went to sort our coats and stuff out in the hostel, then meet the other 2 over the street in Blues Brothers. Yuck, what a horrible place, thats all I'm going to say.

Next stop pizza restaurant for some top notch grub! Then said our good byes to the Girl who'd been hanging with us all day and back to the hostel to play cards and smoke some j's.

Day Two-

Wake and Bake in CS Central. Small place, yet it says it has 3 pooltables, mayb they were upstairs or something, i duno. A nice little cosy, yet busy shop, locals in and out picking up bags. Had a look at the good old weed box, but decided to borrow a little pipe and hit up some Jala hash with a coffee. Great way to start the day.

Next stop Haarlem. Yup, i was dragging the group to haarlem. After getting a little bit lost and ending up by the main river, we headed towards High Times.

A top notch shop, some reasonably priced weed was bought along with some drinks. Again cheaper than Amsterdam. The plastic seats did not look too comfy, but they were fine for a few hours of poker. They also have a large selection of pre rolled joints here, biggest ive seen anywhere. Each colour coded too, yellow for one hash, brown for another, etc, etc. One of the group bought a joint of orange bud and backy in a orange joint holder case. Twas a nice little joint to smoke too! A few locals went in and out whilst we were around, a middle aged lady stopped by for a quick joint and coffee before continuing her days shopping. There was also a small group of dutch locals near the back with a cute dog that was wondering around. We might aswell have been from Haarlem for all they cared, no hassle or dodgy looks at all.

Top CS to chill in, small but good menu.

We wondered along the main river, watching for bikes like you do in Amsterdam, but it was very quite. A great little walk as we played who can spot the Windmill first.

WE arrived outside the Willie Wortles Indica, but unlike other CS's you had to go in through a big green door, like entering a house. Sat by the window were some dutch youths who spent the whole afternoon there, agian not causing us any trouble.

I ordered some nepalese temple balls and got chattting with the dealer who said he didnt like cutting the very hard temple balls. He passed it for me to look at and feel, rock solid black hash, and under a 1/4 of the ball. But definelty of a large ball. Another one from the group bought some elderweis weed which was ok and some primero morocan hash which looked like a lovely brown biscuit. Strong hash and tasty too. The four of us sat in our comfy seats for a few hours talking rubbish, playing cards and drinking cheap juices. I hit up the bong with a small ammount of temple balls, and wow! buzzed for hours, a joyful high for hours and hours. Highly recomended. 2 of the group ordered ham/kaas (ham&cheese) toasti's for under 2e! they both loved them and challenged me to find a better value one in holland. The music was at a nice level, the vibe of the whole place was friendly.

Highly recomended and very high class menu.

and so i tried in our next stop, the WW Sativa. We called in here for a quick hour stop before the train back to he Dam. I ordered a ham kass toasti and the nice girl working brought me out the best toasti i have ever had in Holland. A gram of afghaan skunk was bought and enjoyed that evening. The sativa is a long slim CS and was full at half 5pm when we turned up, despite this we didnt feel threatened at all as people chatted and played board games.

Another highly recomended CS.

Haarlem Verdict-
We only visited 3 coffeeshops, but they were all great and the city makes a nice change to the busy toruisty Dam. Worth a visit for a day or afternoon at least. The train takes 15mins and costs about 6euro return. Friendly coffeeshops with great vibes, cheap food, drink and great cannabis menu's.

Coffeeshop count now at 12.

Back in Amsterdam our hostel had had a big clean out day so were giving away free half pints of beer to make up for the inconvenience. After a very tasty cold beer,we had got the taste for more! So where else do you go but, around the corner to De Kuil for a beer and a smoke. De kuil, like the first night as playing rock'n'roll at a good volume and the pleasant atmosphere was enjoyed again. The vaporizer was in use alot and we had all noiced this, being virgins. So i took up some rifman Jala and asked the dealer to load up a bag for us. He kindly did so, smile on his face and when it was full bought it over to us. As it was my hash i started and just like loosing your virginity for this was another great experience. Tasty tasty hash! The bag went round and four fewer volcano virgins we blitzed and grinning!

The combination of beer, joints and volcano led us into the red light district. Grinning and playing with the girls was great. It was busy, and its a shame to see almost as many dodgy dealer as ever. Unfortunatly one of the group got spooked out and wanted to leave. He thought we were being circled by a group of dutch youths. I had spotted a guy with beani-hat several times, but otherwise i was too busy being baked and looking at girl! We left anyways, just to be safe. Much rather my mate feel safe than anything else. So back to the hostel for a sit down and some more cards.

Day Three- Final day.

We checked out of the hostel and wondered around town for a bakkery and some gifts for girlfriends back home. From here we wondered to de dampkring. It was begging to snow and we had already recieved a picture message on a mobile from a friend back home showing the deep snow in south wales, aswell as a few excited texts about snow. We were a little worried about getting home that evening. After a hour or so in the very very busy dampkring, we headed to the downstairs of Dolphins. We were able to watch the snow outside and play cards on the comfy seats inside. Dolphins is a great place to waste a good few hours. Juices were drunk and i smoked my last few joints. My final joint was a tobacco joint with temple balls, jala and primero and wat a good joint to end on. I was to be driving back from the airport so the other smoked on and i began to very slowly comedown.

WE then walked in the snow up to abraxas for a delicious milkshake, more cards and for the rest of the group to finish of their weed, big pure joints all round! Final CS of trip, number 16.

THe worst part was about to begin, the journey home. But we still had a few gems up our sleeve. 2 of us ate our first Smullers which was a great tasty little snack then we had chips and mayo on the train to Schipol, still not knowing exactly what was going to happen with our flight due to the snow. We were delayed for a couple of hours then arrived back home.

May not have smoked much, or visited as many CS's as i would have liked. But there is always next time. The hash i smoked was fantastic and the grey berry was probably my favourite weed. Haarlem was great too, still more shops to visit out there too.

A lot couples (boyfriends and girlfriends) of all ages where seen, more than ever, seems like a new trend to spend a few days stoned with your partnet. The red light district is still dodgy, but worth a visit, and places around there, like hunters are definetly tourist traps, but there is still good product around. Compared to home grown, there is still the worry of not knowing exactly what you are buying. Hash was great everywhere though.
