Sports minister wants marijuana off doping list Recreational drugs such as marijuana and alcohol should be removed from the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) list of banned substances, Dutch sports minister Clemence Ross has told a closed conference on doping in Amsterdam.
'Combating soft drugs should be a task for the government,' the Associated Press reported the minister as saying. She added that It did not make sense for WADA to punish athletes for using drugs that did not boost performance.

greenking.. i dont think its to make someone better at the sport...
i think its so that they can smoke it and pass the drug tests...
if someone smoked the day before the game or whatever , they wont be affected by it by the time of there game..
even when i played at a high level of hockey here in canada.. i would smoke when i woke up .. go for a stretch, have a small workout. eat something and i would feel like a million bucks..
but i agree.. smoking right before a high intensity sport can be worse for you.
