Hi all just got back, I've been reading some of the travelogues and have decided that I was to much of a tourist to offer any good advise. lol In the 8 days we were there we smoked 36 grams of gear
,ok not as much as some but we were high the whole time I assure you. when we got there it was 600 am but due to the research I did on this site I knew that Barneys was open at 7
It was a wonderful shop to start at, started with some g13 and rolled a fattie with one of the big papers they give out, me and my friend don't smoke tobacco so there was about 1.5 Grams in it. It worked we were wrecked lol, great weed . we walked back to the hotel and took a nap (took me about 18 hrs of traveling to get there). after a 4 hr nap I was ready to rock and roll, but I ended up alone in my travels cause my friend was to tired( in his defence he just finished his resedencey to be a doc and I guess he needed his rest + relaxation) anyway I went to softland internet coffeeshop to send emails to my friend and family, and to get high lol. In the 8 day I was there we never took a cab or tram or any public transport we just walked. It is a great way to see amsterdam.now for the tourist part I took 412 pictures yup 412 told you I was a tourist lol. OH yeah the advise about the article on bike riders can not be taken seriously enough. Read that on twice is my advice, In the first couple of days I had many near death experiences. Lucky for me I was there during the off season cause there were not as many people as I'm sure there is during the summer. I could go on about the gear and the prices but from reading the other travelogues it has been covered. One note though I thought overall the weed had different flavors the strengths were very similar. I know its hard to tell the difference when you smoke so much so I'll leave the reports on that to you all lol.It all seemed to be heavy on the sativa side witch was cool for my friend who don't smoke much but all I smoke here in Maine is purple skunk bud cause I know a few growers lol. that must be mostly indica cause its couch weed, (puts you on the couch). Anyway Amsterdam was the coolest place I've ever been to. I am not much help on being critical cause I never meet a rude budtender or anyother person for that matter. I loved every coffeeshop I went in to but maybe the grey area was dissapointing only because it was to small the guys were helpful and the gear was topnotch but way to small a shop
no place to smoke. well that was my only negative thing to say. We did the museum thing also, that was very cultural way cool. I've never done some mushrooms so we decided to have a go. I've tripped before in my youth but not on shrooms. We split a box of mexicans and wow. It was a very intense buzz but thankfully short lived, very fun. my days of tripping for 12 hrs are over lol. I wrote myself a diary for the first time in my live while I was there, (us stoners are not known for our memories) and I will go over it to come up with more fatguy tourist stuff later if you want lol. Oh yeah it was funny when then "ladys" in the redlite district came out of the window to yell for the "bigman" to come here lol my friend said it was my animal magnitism. anyway more later the fatguy from Maine.
