If you've got nothing good to say .... say nothing.

What is wrong with you people. Yes, cannabis is illegal BECAUSE it cures so many illnesses and would prevent the big pharmaceutical companies from making millions on drugs which make us sicker in the end.

Pinkie: I am going to the Netherlands soon to buy strain to make my own oil. Follow instructions from youtube. I don't have permission to post links but do a search on "how to make a small batch of cannabis oil". There's one from Dr. T.H. Hunt DNM which is very simple.

Good luck to you and your friend.

I've said this before but please, please give new members the benefit of the doubt.
We desperately need new blood.
If every new member is treated with suspicion and liable to be accused of spamming, trolling and so on then the only people who will stick around will be those that are tough enough to withstand the barrage.
That will have a negative influence on the overall atmosphere and makeup of the membership.

Aye, of course that's all fair enough Lemming but when a new member's opening gambit, completely unprovoked, involves telling someone to "stop sucking cock" just for having a different opinion, how much benefit of the doubt can they honestly expect?

Not sure they're really setting up to improve the atmosphere either ;)

You must have ignored all the snide comments that came before... To be fair if I'd signed up to a forum to ask a question and got the response pinkie got Im sure I wouldnt have acted much differently. The thread wasnt about whether anyone believes that oil kills cancer nor was it about getting an illegal hook up. The guy just wanted to help a friend as much as he can. I dont see the problem there?

If you had a sick friend and everyone ridiculed you for trying to help Im sure you wouldnt be too happy either.

That was a different new poster. If that's what was being referred to then, well personally I think disputing the assertion that cannabis oil cures (not helps with symptoms) cancer is hardly unreasonable or unnecessary, and I certainly don't think "everyone ridiculed" him looking back... however if he at all felt my posts were rude in any way I apologise unreservedly as that was not my intention..

Well I must admit that I hadn't realized there were 2 different posters, so sorry for the error on my part.

The possible anti cancer properties are definitely worth discussing whatever opinion one may have but to do it in such a negative fashion when there is someone involved who is suffering the consequences of the illness is a little insensitive. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I feel theres a time and a place for it, which isn't when somebody is in such a desperate situation. You're right, it wasn't "everyone" but it was a majority.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

That's the point. This user proved strong enough to withstand the robust criticism.
They also apologised and edited their post.

A less forthright new member, or a prospective member reading this thread, might conclude that this is a closed community where all incomers are viewed with suspicion.

I think it's important to welcome new members and, if necessary, gently educate them in our ways. Give them a chance to settle in, as it were. Of course, if they don't appear to want to settle in after a reasonable probation period, then that's a different matter.

If every new user has to run the gauntlet before they're allowed in then we'll only get the most hardened of experienced internet users and frighten away the rest.

Sometimes it seems like there's a pack of attack dogs waiting to pounce on any newbie who makes a slight mistake. If we carry on like that then there'll only be the most aggressive members left.

That's why I say give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Even if you suspect their motives, please assume that any initial bad impressions are a mistake and be nice anyway.

Thanks
Lem
