Most comfortable coffeeshop
First time poster heading over to Amsterdam in December, just wondering if anyone can recommend any really comfortable coffeeshops with couches/comfy seating where you can spend a few hours, also how busy with tourists can I expect it to be around the end of December just before New Year?

Things can be busy in the shopping areas at that time of year, but I've found a lot of the CS's to be pretty chilled out.
Try Amnesia, 137, 1e Hulp and Rusland for comfy places to chill.

I've been to many shops over the years and I've found that greenhouse (the one near Barney's, can't remember the area name) has the most comfy seating for me, as you walk in past the bud tender on the left hand side is a nice seating area, you get in the corner and lean back and get your smoke on, you'll be there for hours.

CS137 , Prix d'Ami (downstairs sofas are comfy , pretty loud area though) , Spirit have some comfy chairs in the back room , also haven't been in a few trips but seem to remember De Graal having some sleep inducing chairs
If you can get the sofa type window seat @Paradox , that can be a chill little spot
Enjoy your trip

ahh De Graal is well comfy, will be so sad to see it close
Re: Most comfortable coffeeshop
De Graal's big oldschool comfy chairs are the best, almost fell asleep there(but this may have been also caused by some Iceolator:)Scandalous Monk wrote:ahh De Graal is well comfy, will be so sad to see it close

Paradox has to be the best place to chill for me! Guy in there is so friendly and more than happy to help.
Also 1e Hulp! Quite a way away from Dam Square or the centre of Amsterdam but I believe it is by a fire station. If you go down the stairs when you walk past the BudTender and go past the Pool table there is an intimate back area which I used their Vaporizer in!
