Fun in mile high denver

Day 1........terrible experience renting a car.....for some reason renting a car in denver is more expensive than anywhere in the states that I have been...3 times the price of every other major city.....plus it took 2 hours to get our car.....stay away from Payless car rental.......after the rental fiasco we are grabbing some food and then off to some dispensaries for supply.....they are all across the city.... GPS is a good tool.... First stop..".The walking raven"..on broadway....got an 8th of grape god and 8th of Hong Kong sour diesel...the sour being about 24% thc and the god about 22 ....grape god was good but the Hong Kong was outstanding..I'm a big sour guy so it was heaven.....nice small shop...non touristy and the Tuesday I was there was 4 gram 8ths day.. 4.2 actually...second stop was to "evergreen apothecary " also on Broadway just up the street 1/4 mile...got some buddha's sister and some Chernobyl ...b's sis was great tasting and super smooth,,,strong eye lid high.........Chernobyl was good but not very memorable......next stop was at a place called "good chemistry "...they run big ads in high times but this shop sucked...bad weed selection.......I got there best and it was very forgetful.......so forgetful I forgot the names.......the last shop of the day was " the green solution". A big shop with tons of flowers and everything else....huge menu...a bit over priced but not too much....here I got some Kief and some papaya some wifi tahoe og, and some grape stomper....stomper was good and sweet. It made your body quite numb,,,,,,the wifi was a bit overpriced but was a good strong og... Again a good eye lid high( when your eyes are heavy and mostly closed but your not sleepy).. Papaya tasted like shit and I left the rolled papaya on an outside restaurant table next to my hotel....yuk.......so overall impression of denver after a few hours here....I like it... The air is nice up here.....the weed is premo..... Unlike the dam it's all regulated from seed to sale here so you know exactly where it came from......when you buy your bud they put it in a small plastic vile that looks just like a prescription pill bottle...often they have the tested stats of your flower( thc, thca , cbd )...it's kinda cool...unlike the dam there are few places to sit down and smoke...some cities have cannabis clubs for smoking and some don't ...so you kinda have to wing it.....I just smoked outside my hotel in the back on a little hill... It's was a great place for outside smoking.....my hotel had a don't ask don't tell policy on cannabis.....they just didn't want it smoked in the rooms....going to bed stoned to oblivion...tomorrow the mountains and more cannabis stores....

Where are you from?
I was looking at car rentals in Denver and they have huge airport taxes and fees. Cheaper off of airport
grounds but then you have hassle of getting to it.

You may want to check out Green Grass Alternative Meds in Central City. Maybe 45 minutes NW of Denver.
Several casinos in town too. No affiliation. I went there in Feb and got A+++ Super Lemon Haze and A Green
Crack. Small cozy shop. Not a huge selection but very well grown and cured.

Report back on what else you find.

Minn-- I live in Las Vegas.
Day 2 ---- no pot stores today but I will share a few awesome thing we did...on the road today...up the Rockies to a haunted hotel call " the Stanley". It is the hotel Stephen king based his book " the shinning " on....went on the tour and it was so cool... Found out about it's ghost and the king story?...check it out online .......Enjoyed some Hong Kong sour d today and grape stomper mixed with Kief ...mind numbing ...great mountain air......also had an edible chocolate.....very strong....one thing about colorado is all the potshops close by 7 so you have to think ahead....great winding curves on the drive....a lot of fun......a couple times I stop the car on the side of road and have a smoke with the Rocky Mountains as my view... About 11 thousand feet up...it's a great way to enjoy cannabis...in a natural setting.......next up day 3---- elitch gardens amusment park and downtown pot stores.....

Will==== didn't feel any adverse effects from the altitude.......
Day 3. Elitch gardens is a great amusement park in down town denver, right across from the denver broncos stadium...a nice wifi tahoe buzz going before heading out to the park.... A lot of fun rides.....I did the 150 feet sky coaster giant swing....super great while high...about 3 we start getting rained on so we decide to leave and get a bite.....rio grande cafe ...so so Mexican food...start walking down the 16th st mall..a long stretch of shops and eateries..have heard good things about a few dispenseries down here.... First. The lodo wellness center........2 grams of headband 2 grams of blackberry kush.....the blackberry was a strain I know well as it is around my home a lot....this was super good weed... Long lasting ,,great taste,, fruity color. The headband was one of the best i had on this trip.... Super tasty, heavy head high.... Heavy eyelids... Made my head just float.............so so shop....kinda expensive tourist prices....but the two strains I got were great.......limited selection.........on to EUFLORIA...I loved this shop... Great selection.... Several tables in store with jars on them... Each jar has a mini I pad describing the flower in detail with pics..... Also expensive tourist prices but I thought it was cool..... I got 2 grams each of. BRUCE BANNER, SOUR CHUNK, and SOUR ALIEN.....banner was very good with a decent taste........I remember it was smooth and gave me the munchies bad......... Sour chunk was super fruity ...strong eyelid high.....eyes were shut..... My fav sour I've ever had until I tried the sour alien.. Let me tell you it was the smoke of the trip.........super sour ,smooth, whole body high... I loved it and would kill my mother for a few pounds of this shit...( lol ) enjoyed a great steak dinner at Ruth Chris steak house.......ate a caramel chew before bed .. After about 30 min I thought my head was dancing a gig so I passed out...tomorrow the mountains again, this time Breckenridge and also the buffalo bill museum and grave.......

Thanks for reporting, one of these days, I'll make it across the pond, Colorado had always been on my wishlist, now even more with the new MJ laws...do you know if they are allowed to sell to non US citizens?
the quality of the herb is Fire from what Ive seen\read.

Day 4 ..up the mountain again this time to breckenridge......now breckenridge has long been a cannabis friendly place as they made cannabis legal in the city several years before the state did it...on the way up we stop at the buffalo bill Cody museum...I love history and American west history is super interesting..this guy had one hell of a life .. Google him .............enjoyed some blackberry before getting back on the road.......we get to breckenridge and it's a great town.....lots of cool little shops....we enjoyed lunch at a cheese and wine place..very European feel to the shop...stopped at the breckenridge cannabis club on main st...high times did a piece on this shop in their colorado issue a few months ago...I gotta say.. Over priced shitty weed.... I got a gram of purple voodoo and a gram of Cali orange...both kinda sucked, at least compared to the other stuff I have been smoking....of the two Cali orange tasted the best but they were both lame....rode the gondola up the mountain and had just enough time for one alpine coaster ride before they closed the mountain.....kinda lost time a bit shopping and walking and eating, forgot they close mountain early, in this case 5 pm........so back down and a 90 min drive so we head back down toward the hotel.... Hit a shop called " organix ".... Shop was so so but there weed was great....which is all that really matters.......got 2 grams golden goat and 2 grams Jedi kush and 1 gram Larry og......the drive down is great,,, we stop for a smoke on the side of road.. I climb up a rock formation about 15 feet up.... My view the rocky mountains....one of the great things about America( there are still some ) is we have such rich beautiful land... Breathtaking spots all over in abundance.....so much so ,,so many take it for granted and don't enjoy it.. Just a note... Golden goat was my second fav of the trip... Super great smooth weed,,,, strong buzz.....Jedi kush also super strong ,, with that kush taste and kush feeling..........the Larry og was kinda harsh but sent me to bed that night,,, I am a og lover and the Larry was a good friend......tomorrow.... Downtown museums and aquarium .......

Day 5 ....so this is my last full day here...as I have so much pot , I didn't hit any more shops.....I did however smoke the hell out of my remaining stash....left overs from everything...I smoke over a dozen joints today including 8 fatties that night...enjoyed the natural history museum and the downtown aquarium ( fish are great when your baked)...a full day ,, had a blast here, but am ready for sleep in my own bed........now to compare the dam and denver...........well it's a 90 min flight from home to denver and about 10-13 hrs to amsterdam ( depending on 1 plane or 2) so check on the denver side.......the weed is better in denver.....mostly because of the regulation....this shit is grown in top notch environments....amsterdam has equally good weed but it also has a lot of crap that's passed as top shelf......that does not happen in denver ....you know what you buy( mostly). So check again denver side......amsterdam pot culture is better...amsterdam has a super cool vibe that's hard to match...but it's had decades to grow that, but still check the dam side,,,,,,,,,no coffeeshops......America will never look like the dam, people here are too litigious ...I think the best we can hope for in America is a block or corner where there are cafés to smoke but it's going to take time and may not happen in denver for a while.....I would look for Seattle first..so again advantage dam.....so it is a toss up kinda but I think colorado has the edge as the Rocky Mountains are awesome......but I still love the dam. And let's not forget about the whores.......I will be going back in 2016... Maybe my last trip.....peace out acd'ers

Golden--- not every shop has hash but there are plenty that do.....but I will say I didn't see traditional hash like the dam, but concentrates galore...oils, tinctures,wax,shatter....everything..and a ton of edibles.......very high quality
