For the last year and a half or so I have always had a sinking feeling when I have left the Netherlands that this would propably be my last visit; despite this in which time I have manged to squeeze four trips in, well the last trip was no different so I made sure I had a good one visiting coffeeshops in Amsterdam, Leeuwarden, Haarlem and Zandvoort. I came back meaning to write my trip up and share my experiences with you guys, who have given me such good information over the years, but my fears of not returning ment that I could not even consider coming on the website, let alone reminding myself of how much I love the country. I was sorry to leave you all.
Well I am back, so that can only mean one thing, another trip booked woo hoo!!!!
This time I am bringing my lady friend for her surprise birthday present, she has never been to the Netherlands before. She does not, has not and propably never will smoke weed or even tobacco; so I am not going to be spending loads of time hanging around in coffeeshops, but as you all know there is plenty of other cool stuff to do and it does not mean that I can't pop in for a quick buy and fly or the occasional smoke. I'm actually really looking foward to this trip as it means I can do some of the activities that my smoker friends or my regular traveling companion would want to do such as going on a canal cruise and visiting the house of bols for a couple of gin cocktails.
We get into Schiphol early evening Friday 21st November and head to Haarlem for the night (better not give her Birdies Jelly for her first smoke then ha ha ha) where we are staying on the Grote Markt. On the Saturday we relocate to Amsterdam staying the hotel Quentin by the Leidseplein, the hotel I first stayed in eleven years ago when I was a nineteen year old. Unfortunately it's only a weekend away so it's back to England on the Sunday afternoon, no doubt with the heavy feeling in my heart again.
Let's hope she has a good a time as I have always had in Amsterdam.

You have been posted on the November Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
There is one every day of your visit.
Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop
(your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to
show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.
Enjoy

Thanks trashcan, I would be there on any normal trip and I send my apologies in advance, but this is planned on the two of us spending a bit of quality time away from hectic work schedules and enjoying a break from home life.
Stan I will let you know when I'm over solo (or with the boys) again and defiantly meet up for a mega smoke out.

Is it the Quientin England hotel you are staying in on the Saturday? If it is you should request room 106 or 107, they have balconies!! I know there will only be one balcony room available over the weekend me and my mate have one of them booked!
