take a trip to 1ehulp should only be a few euro on tram, buy 5g of intensive care 35euro and u should have enough to do you but i would avoid the centrum coffeeshops if your on a tight budget, Central coffeeshop does 5g deals on strains like silver haze, white widow etc but its hard to say on quality as there inconsistent

Maybe buy some beers at albert heijn and bring back to your hotel would be cheaper than buying pints all the time mate

for normal visits 100 a day
shopping visits 400 a day
if i take a hotel , meaning i will stay in town all day , instead of leaving at 19:00 : 150 a day ( excluding hotel costs )

Your gonna need a lot more, a lot lot more, and if you start indulging in the seedy side, more again its not a cheap city, I don't drink but have been on trips with peeps who only drink, they spend more than me, I would say your looking 200-250 a day, I do 150-200 on weed/hash and a nifty on food. The last day is the cheapest I find, got leftovers so never seem to spend much.

Yeah, few bargains in Amsterdam. In my opinion, Copenhagen is actually a cheaper city (drinking on the street is acceptable at least).

I must admit, I am staying for 8 days. First 3 I won't be smoking much, then 5 in the Bulldog Hostel. I know that whatever I say I will spend, I will spend much more - but I also know that I can curtail things a bit via the following:

1) Visiting the Albert Heijn and buying water, sweets, chocolate, fruit, maybe a couple of Belgian beers and some cold meats.

2) Eating the free breakfast at the Bulldog Hostel everyday.

3) Remembering that, generally, hash gets you a bit more bang for your buck.

4) That 4am joint doesn't really need to be 16E a gram shit. Nor the 8 am joint.

5) Having 1 1/4 papers for percy joints

6) Limiting bar visits to 1 visit each to http://www.arendsnest.nl and the brewery http://www.brouwerijhetij.nl/ - The Bulldog hotel has a happy hour where I can get a pint of La Chouffe for 3E so I'll probably be up for that at least once.

7) Visiting a couple of squat restaurants (we'll see how that goes, as they have limited time windows).

I reckon I will spend about 10 Euros a day in the AH, about 20 Euros a day for coffeeshop drinks/snacks/beers, and about another 10 on dinner - give or take. I think I will spend another 40-45 Euros on weed - e.g. 1g at 16, 1 at 12, hash at 15 say - I'm not beyond buying something a bit cheaper for the late-night smoke so I suspect I'll keep it down a bit. Maybe I can split some bags and do some wider sampling at the T&Ts, so that I get a better variety.

Truth of the matter is, if we had 2g of really good weed and 1g of good hash - a lot of us could eke that out over a very fun 2/3 days, mileage will vary obviously. You only live once, but a bit of perspective can be useful - especially if on a budget.
