The most obvious recommendation is Birdy which is an attractive, friendly shop.

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the October Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop
(your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to
show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Lots of things to see and do in Haarlem.

I'm hearing good things about the gear from coffeeshop Easy Going at the moment, that it's top quality at a good price, but from what I understand I do not think its a great place to hang out in; I have not yet visited it on my many trips to Haarlem, but that is going to change come November. If your in that area of town visit the Jopen Kerk a really nice bar/brewery where you can sample some lovely dutch beer, be warned some are very strong!!

Of course I am going to recommend Birdys as it's the best coffeeshop in town. The jelly has never let me down and they have a wide selection of top products both hash and skunk, what's more they do good coffee and it's a cool place to hang out.

I have had no problems with the Willie Wortle shops they do some good multi gram deals, my preference is for the shop near the windmill as it's comfier than the one at the station and when in Holland you have to see a windmill after all!!

Coffeeshop Join Us is ok, but it's not very big, it's more of a buy and fly place, but if you fancy a quick joint whilst spending some time at the Grote Markt. Talking of which there are some nice bars and restaurants here that are great for people watching, but I guess your not going to want to sit outside in October.

Having tried to use coffeeshop Empire twice and been completely put off by the staff, gear, atmosphere, look of the place I now avoid it like the plague. Be warned

I really like Haarlem a bit more of the real Dutch experience, convenient for the airport and only 15 minutes from Amsterdam by train, perfect!!

Only ever seen said wax in the Wortle shops.

If you fancy a day out some where different then you can always jump on the bus from the station up to IJmuiden there are a couple of coffeeshops there, one especially 'Joe Cool' is well worth a look at. Also Zaandvort is just a bike ride away and there are two good shops there too.

Have a great time

Thanx ape face. Zaandvort is on our list of places to see this time even though the weather won't be doing us any favours. I'm sure we'll find somewhere nice and warm to chill. Happy times ahead!!!!
