Weak-ass weed in amsterdam?

I'm going to be visiting family near Amsterdam on the 7th, and my tolerance is way, way, *way* down. In the past, when I've gone overboard in this condition, *especially* with high-grade shit, the results are pretty wretched. And yet it is so, so easy to do that in that city. Can anyone point me to some *weak*, low-thc weed? Something basically like regs, except maybe a bit better on the aesthetic side? Above all, something that is guaranteed *not* to launch me into a deep, exhaustive, and woefully existential exploration of all the manifold ways in which I suck.

Try Paradox for their Purple and any other outdoor bio. Purple (purple haze) outdoor anywhere would be a good bet. Check out other outdoor strains on the menu, they're usually labelled, as those tend to be a bit milder than the indoor weeds.

Depending on your tolerance, Blueberry might be nice. I'd start with the Purple and see how it goes from there.

I'm in a similar position. I'm in the Dam for 8 days next month, though won't be smoking much the first 3. I then have 5 days at the Bulldog to get going. I suspect by the end I'll be on the serious shit, but I'd like to ramp up with some tasty stuff. Not necessarily thai/jamaican, but some nice clean highs. Any further recommendations would be good.

The other thing to do is just ask the budtenders in any shop you visit. They are usually friendly enough not to recommend a strong weed when you ask for a weak one.

Please dont go for mediocre strains like outdoor-Purples, or even shitty strains like pressed Thai or Jamaican.

Buy quality weed in a CS with a good reputation, ask the budtender for some nice, not totally overpowering strains, and simply use a smaller dosage. Thats as simple as it gets. Everything else is a waste in Amsterdam.

A general rule:
You might want to stay away fromsome of the really supertrippy sativas/hazes.
Go for mellow, relaxing daytime-Indicas. Blueberry, Greyberry, Hindukush, maybe some mid-range Super Polm or black hash.

I tend to agree; if you've had paranoia issues etc in the past avoid sativas and stick to lower priced (and thus strength) indicas for a mellow stoned feeling, things like Blueberry, Orange bud, Power Plant and the like. Siberie is a good central coffeeshop with some of those sort of strains on the menu and good staff for advice. Or try Utopia, they usually have a PP strain, Ingi and the others will see you right.

Then just regulate your intake by putting smallish amounts in your joints / bongs to begin with. The outdoor and pressed grass strains around the city are often really poor, better with a nice smoke that isn't hammer strong that you just have wee bits of at a time.

Some good advice. A good Moroccan polm will do the job nicely and it's not too strong. Gives a nice high/stone that is not too much to handle and will give a nice and mellow feeling.
