Best temp for vaping pot?

I got a vaporizer for smoking pot, but I have a few questions.

I got one of the Volcano vapes that have a bag. I've seen them a lot in the coffeeshops but never tried to use one.
Does the potency diminish if you leave the vape smoke in the bag for a while before inhaling it?

What is the point of setting different temps on the vaporizer? What's the best temp to vape pot? How will using different temps affect the results?

First one, I dont know but I would imagine it would as it's temperature drops and the oil congeales to the inside of the bag.

One the second, 180c is a good one to start at to vapourise the THC and get high, and then you can work up, I go to 200c to get the rest of the stoney stuff . the idea is not to catch fire .

I have one also, I normally start off with temp set at 5 and move up to about 7 max. Then I gather the remains and make hash butter

Depends on the weed and the vaporizer. With the Arizer EQ I use any temperature between 175 and 205. With the Solo I usually start at level 3 (190c) or 4 (195c) and go up to 5 (200c) The best temp to get stoned fast is between 190 and 205 imo. If you want to get a more functional effect, stay below 185 or even 180. Make sure to use low vaped material again, to get everything out of it.

I have been using a 5 setting and going up to about 7.
It works very well and my lungs are a lot better off after a week.

I tend to start at 2 and go up to 6 on the Solo, but I spend more time at the lower end and can get 2 full 12 min cycles out of most herb, even the low grade stuff I'm mainly restricted to on Malta.

The Volcano I'll get 3-4 bags out of a load, starting at 5.5, then 6-6.5, 6.5-7 and sometimes one at 7.5-8.

The Herborizer I will usually fill a big bowl, start at 5.5 and notch it up by 0.5 every 10 mins or so. The bowl will easily last an hour with fairly constant hits, up to about 1 hour twenty sometimes. By far the best hitting and most high/stoned I have ever been using this. My missus only lets me use it on weekends these days...

Flowermate (variable temp model) - only has 5 min cycles and 3 temperatures but starting with the lowest, and running 2 cycles on each temp setting, a bowl will last about 6 cycles (30 mins).

I have a Solo and was wondering what is the advice on packing the bowl?
Should I pack it loosely or is it better to press more in and tamp it down?
I notice that after vaping, the material at the top of the bowl has gone to black but the stuff packed at the bottom of the bowl is still dark brown.
I would prefer not to waste anything, so is it better to pack a bowl lightly and refill it a few times, or try to pack it more fully and vape it for longer?
