I will also say once again that I chanced across a post from ages ago where this shit had happened to someone else..so the board "clique" does indeed have form for this. I haven't read the book so I won't comment on it, but responding to having a few issues with a couple of North American origin forum members by aggressively attacking all "Yanks" is so base it doesn't incline me to read it. Not very smart advertising (free or otherwise) to alienate a large section of your potential audience.

I haven't read much of this thread - I saw it started with him offering people his writings to read for free so he could get some honest feedback. I was curious but don't have the time to read much. WTF how is that an agressive seller?

When you create things it's nice to get feedback. He offered it to people to read for free so maybe he could get some advice for what he could do with it in the future perhaps And what would be so bad if he tried to sell it in the future? He worked on it, I didn't see him pushing people to go on Amazon and buy it already - damn he got a publishing contract already too?! This guy must be good!

The reason I haven't asked to read your book is because of the first extract in Worst coffeeshop experiences. You sounded like a hater. Do you expect all the people to have run over and helped you while you snotted all over yourself? I wouldn't. You seemed to hate people for merely watching you though and that seemed judgemental, to me. So I don't need to read more nonsense on hating people while in Amsterdam. I don't like writing or people like that. From your actions on here and your extract I based my reaction and don't want to read it. I think maybe you would have got more people to read had you not reacted to peoples comments.

I bought it coz I read a sample on Amazon and quite liked it. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't seen it on here, so I see what your saying. Anyway, worth the £3. It's making my work breaks fly in! If anyone likes the sample read it, if not don't. Stoners eh?!
