Ok, here is my tuppence worth..................

Firstly there are 2 versions of the Arizer Extreme Q (EQ), Version 4 is pre 2014 and has build, heating and fan circulation issues. The Version 5 came out in 2014 and is almost a different beast, black metallic surround and fairly sleek. It has a nice display and comes with a remote control. The V5 is much much quieter and the fans work very well. The EQ has many advantages, the whip for straight vaping, mini whip and vape balloon bags and even a pot pourri bowl.

I had a V4 which was damaged and was lucky enough to get a V5 upgrade under the Arizer warranty.

I'm not a vape bag/balloon man and I really like the EQ just using the whip, mine is connected to a glass water percolator which has the option of an ice stem but even at high temps its cool enough without. I agree with a lot of the comments about the volcano, its a great bit of kit but expensive, takes a lot of herb and as far as I know you can really only use bags with it.

The Arizer costs between £135-150 sterling and comes with a few spares, the remote is handy with its preset temps, it even has a cool blue light under the unit which you can switch on and off, 3 fan speed. I like the SSV which I have tried in the past but the 5 year warranty on the EQ V5 sells it to me. Its made in Canada which another bonus for me. I would recommend the V5 to vape cannaseurs without a problem.

I have also been considering investing in a decent portable vape, so after a little thought decided I would go for a cheap intro to portable vaping. I think it was Xmas just gone when I spotted a device called a Trippy Stix Herbal Unit, which retails around $99 Canadian. Further research led me on to find that its a rebrand of an existing unit, the Hebe Titan 2 Portable Herb Vape which retails around £35 sterling or about $80 US. I've had mine now for a short duration and I'm impressed at what I got for my money. It has a small chamber which accepts about 0.4g of herb, it gives off a good vape as you have individual temp control +- 1 degree up to 220c or 428F. it small easy to clean and only has one removable part which is the mouthpiece.

The Hebe Titan 2 also comes with spare screens, sterile mouthpiece covers, mouthpiece extenders, cleaning brush, USB charging cable and a good instruction manual. takes about 1 hour to charge but will give you around 1 hour of vaping before you need to charge. I really like it and for me it only has one drawback, the heating coil has a timeout, sometime it stops heating mid a long vape and you have to start the heating again. It's a proper vape, does not combust herb. It can get a little warm and coughy at higher temps but for what I paid for it I'm happy.

If you want an intro to portables the Titan 2 is good value for money as the price means if its not your thing then its no big loss.

Good luck with your search.............

Volcano is superior to arizer q, i own both. If money is not a concern go volcano. It comes with a full set of replacement parts as well. You can use turkey bags and save more than 50% against the cost of bags.

As far as portabls... The arizer air is amazing for herb. Great draw. For concentrates i have the Atmos jewel which is about $100 canadian and will last and last and last... All day on one charge.

volcano sucks ass.

bought one.

the fucking thing worked for 2 sessions then the heating coil went.

brand new from authorized dealer.

got a replacement.

same thing.

airizer solo got in the dam and it's worked like magic every fucking time.

and i have an old school box with the whip…. hate those things… they're ancient compared to the pax and the solo.

pax is good but man, you go thru a LOT of herb with it.

The solo I'm using like 1/3rd of the herb I used to.

Not picking an argument, but if we are sharing stories.... ive beat the shit out of my volcano, and it works like a charm. I actually caught my foot on the plug cord causing my unit to slam into the floor and it still keeps humming. My arizer q elbow broke twice in the first month. Also that elbow need to pack that thing so full, while the volcano has much better air flow. So from a functionality standpoint, there simply is no comparison. Shame your coil burned twice,

ya sucks…. but you know… breathing weed flavored air from a bag isn't really fun to me… i don't get the smoking sensation from it… can't stand the volcano.

the solo is solid.

the amount of herb you use is minimal.

plus you can get them from puffitup.com for like $160

pax is good and portable but takes a bit to get the hang of and it does use aLOT of herb.

magic flight box is cool, but you can't compare it to these other ones…. it takes a bit more time to get the hang of… but pretty cool to use.

the airizer air is new… haven't tried it.

Volcano can't be beaten
if you really don't like the bags you can make an adaptor for a whip.
Either way for me it is the best vape.
Don't see any other brands in coffeeshops.....

There's plenty of other brands in coffeeshops although i coildnt name them... Volcanos ate by far the most popular though. Personally I think that's due to their ease of use more than anything. They're good but I don't think they're Good enough to justify the price tag. But if you want a massive rip of vapor on demand they can't be beaten. I prefer to sip fresh vapor rather than suck from a used bag over and over again. I guess it's no different to using a solo stem over and over but they're far easier to keep fresh.

end of the day theres just loads.. cheap or expensive, everyone contradicts each other as there is alot of what suits you best. long battery life, will last forever, portable, whip or bag , weed or concentrate.............
for me i love the arizer air more everyday day. and when i score something nice im in fear of what mess ill be in after for the amount of weed to high the solo or especially air cant be beat(for me). ive heard good things about the mighty but he wont let me use it. thank god no one mentioned the davinci ascent as best the tester version was better than the finished version and the weed it went through for real crap thin sort of clouds. i loved my volcano till it was stolen and got into portable vapes and i needed to save money (i smoke to much) are there any ACD firefly owners? and i hope the grasshopper turns into what they promised(i fucking doubt that) ive converted all my friends to vapes. and a few mates(cheap as) went for flower mate varied heat settings one and love it. but if money is tight theres always week old vapes on ebay being sold near half price just dont get the pinnicle pro..

so KrazeUK did you get a vape mate ?

The Herboriser will deliver one of the sweetest hits you've ever had.

I see and understand the popularity of the Volcano, I have one at my house and they're the bomb, but they're party/session machines   . Mostly though for full time vapers you want something you can switch on, load up and be away without too much hassle. :D

My daily at home vape is the EQ. And a Davinci Acsent or Iolite for out and about and off grid. I've been vaping full time for about 5 years.
What a long strange trip it is.

Using the SOLID valve (with the adjustable depth screen) will help ya be more efficient with your produce.

The wide-mouthed EASY valve is good for large loads, ABV, etc.
