Mellow Greetings.
Visiting Amsterdam & Maastricht later this month, & wandering what the current situation is in Maastricht at the moment - regards Coffeeshops & tourists? Heard that you have to be a local resident & have a 'weed pass' / citizenship card, otherwise you are not allowed in Coffeeshops there? Is this still the case? Is it that you are not allowed in at all, or they just can't serve you i.e. so you can go in with someone local? I can get stocked up first in the 'Dam but would be nice to just chill in the coffeeshops of Maastricht too, assuming there are some decent ones there, & even if we run out, you can get someone to go in & buy you some, but that takes half the enjoyment out of it - chatting with the budtenders, hanging out, & having a smoke, etc. I read another thread on here about nearby towns where it was still ok, but there seemed mixed opinion as to the quality too?
Anyway looking forward to the trip nonetheless but does seem a shame if this is still the policy. Cheers.
