Lol, I'm high and after you starting saying about Warmoesstraat, sucking, then B&Js, and what you do on your first day, I read it differently than having Ben and Jerry's, haha

E2a: or maybe you do mean what I thought and just missed out the comma, lol

Haha! Yeah, after I posted that comment I wondered if anyone would misread the post! Lol

And sometimes, yeah the first day can end better than just a milkshake!!

just sucks though. (wait, wrong word LOL)

it stinks.

i get the whole "clean up the city" thing… but fuck…. don't close the cofeeshops.

like that whole street now will be kinda shitty.

baba's is awesome to hang out… most of the shops are so dead… and too chill… that place has good music and good ppl watching… or HAD…

fuck. this sucks.

It did degenerate into the gutter rather quickly! Things tend to go south quick sharp here!! :D

Yeah, I take your point.... I do enjoy a nice chilled out coffeeshop but you need the balance. Somewhere with a bit of atmosphere & despite its average weed Baba's always had that

lol… the thread… well… ya…. it got funny there…

i need to find other shops for sure.

voyagers is buy and fly for me usually.

same for GA

greenhouse centrum and the big one with the restaurant are great… i'd usually work in that one… eat… wifi… its great…. but at night its too chill and off the path a bit…. the centrum one is good but sometimes a bit too chill.

greenplace to me is always dead empty.

damkring is good

just need to find some new spots to chill in the eve etc.

places that are more "happening" more of a vibe.

I haven't been to the Dam in over a year so this could have changed, but for me I always found Amnesia a good spot to hang at in the evenings. Not usually too rammed but a decent crowd and usually some good music banging on the stereo. A joint, a Limonana from the bar, and some tunes and I'm good.

Dampkring is always good. Nice music and busy shop.

Have you tried anywhere in the South? Katsu is a great shop. Not sure of its vibe in the evening as only been there in the day.

Easy Times and Super Skunk are good modern shops with loud music... And better if you buy your stash in Green Place and wander down there 8)

420 in the Centrum is good if you like your music more on the rock side

I've never been in Amnesia so can't comment on there... Might check it out in June

I can't be the only one who thinks that Baba's WOULD be decent to hang out in if the music wasn't so goddamn awful and loud as hell? lol

But yeh what are they thinking will be on Warmoestraat if they take away the CS? More "looky looky men"? Hooker windows?

I get they don't want a street like Warmoestraat to be the first thing people see when arriving from Central Station but let's be honest it isn't! Damrak is & that is where they should put more effort into!

Typical poor, ill-thought out planning from Amsterdam City Council.

I'd be totally fine with some House or Hip Hop but whenever I've been in all that has been playing is Euro Trance far far too loud.
