Innerspace Broadcasting

Post by user54321 »

Ladies and gents! I've been on here for a short time but I've (I think) made some reasonable contribution so I'm trying not to see this as just random SPAM.

It's non-commerical and doesn't make me or any of our staff a penny - I/we do it for the love!

I run an internet radio station, electronic stuff mostly but there's all manner of music at times from Disco to Hip-Hop through to House, Techno, Electro and Downtempo.

I'm not looking for donations!!!!!!!! I'm not looking for anything other than to touch some more potential listeners who might enjoy some of what we do...

Our website is being totally revamped so I don't have that to show you just now but please do click the links below, we've recently added support for all media, so now everyone can tune in ... we'll also be adding a totally free download page for people to download recent shows in MP3 format.

Winamp / iTunes

Windows Media

RealPlayer

Chatroom - PLEASE SELECT INNERSPACE ROOM (and please be nice)

Please note, this costs nobody (apart from myself and my hosts in the Netherlands) anything... I'm doing all this by myself for the people... similar, in a respect, to this site... which is why I thought this might be an apt place to post. We're still in our infancy, only one year online and only a few months running music round the clock.

Feel free to post your comments here, or if you're a DJ with a broadband connection we're always looking for new talent.

E-Mail me here: neldo@ifaze.org

Thanks, I hope some of you enjoy what we do...

That's because it's not 'songs' as such, except for one girl who doesn't have decks.

We're DJs in the sense we're not just putting on tunes with gaps between them - it's mostly vinyl we're using, we're mixing them into each other, cut/paste/blend etc ... there's even people performing their own tracks via laptops and midisequencers...

We don't play MP3s, we're knights of the turntable... ;-)

I find radio stations that just chuck out MP3s are a bit plastic, it's our vision to keep things LIVE as possible, with mistakes, pops and crackles in the vinyl... no flashy edited mixes but honest to goodness turntable talent.

So basically, The List @ Innerspace is archived shows from the last few months that cover gaps between live shows. Also it depends on your player what information you get... for example iTunes will always say 'Sounds From The Mothership' but Winamp and everything else will tell you what's on... we don't like iTunes, it reads things squinty

Hope that makes sense...

='( Yeah, I understand. But my point was I have no hope of aquiring for myself the music played on the station, so if I hear a track I'm really into, all I can do is hope I hear it again someday.

Gotcha...

Once the site is built, we will have the good old phpBB in place, there'll be plenty scope for finding things out on there...

Also, at the moment, during live shows, the DJ broadcasting is using the chatroom (chat.ifaze.nl), you can reach the DJ that way.
"THIS IS NOT TV".**.

"You are not the passive consumer, waiting to be entertained. It's almost like listening to slaves talk about what the master will do if they eat a peach. Well, the master was killed by the Union troops up the road, dare to eat the damn peach and move on. Well, online communities are a lot like that. You are the agent of change.

If a community has content problems, the only solution is to actually provide better content. Which is not going to happen deus ex machina. It has to be done by an empowered consumer. You have the power to hold us to our word. Websites are unlike any other medium, in that you can get an immediate, personal comment from a writer or editor within minutes of posting something online.

There is still a barrier between creator and audience which should be broken down."
Hope that helps, I'll get some more info up once we're running at full speed... happy listening dude :-)
