in feb i had forgotten how many shitty tags there were, EVERYWHERE!
there were a few good peices here and there if you keep your eyes peeled. If you have not walked past it, the major squat, i forget the name down spuistraat is great for seeing a large scale outdoor peice of art work.
best peices i saw were on the way to/from the airport, or even better when we took the train to haarlem.
mainland europe is king for great graf'. Taking a train from paris to holland is a superb experience. Inparticular going through brussels! best ive ever seen mayb.
(ps- look out for my stickers they are similar to my avatar.)

Graf
When we went to the amsterdam arena on the train we saw some good graf on the underground section. But as other people have commented most of it is it crap. I only like the big ones with lots of colour and art, rather than just senseless words scribbled in stupid writing!!!
Cheers

forgot to say,
according to my mate who grew up in holland. Many good peices will be commishioned on the back/side of buildings by the owners of said building. This means that the highest quality can be seen rather than leaving the space to randoms to mess up.
whether this goes against the ethos of graffiti is another matter, i was going to do my disertation on the subject but had to change....

graff invovles soooo many different niches.....and you can't have one without the others.
Legals walls are often the best, simply because the artist has the time and freedom to do a great job.
slop tags are sloppy cause they get throw up as quickly as poss.....
throw-ups are the next step up from that....etc.....
mtb...are you just a sticker guy or do you paint aswell.....i'd love to see anything you got.
I got no skills myself so i leave the actual work to those with the talent, but i love looking at the art (of all kinds). Stickers and wheatpastes seem to be the big thing in general right now.
