just need a doughnut(organiser ) 3 cups/trophys( think its usually been a 123 ) a load of voting slips/bits of paper/rizla , meeting point for getting all votes in by (usually where doughnut is having their 420 ) count votes , tell everyone who's won sort 3 t&t's to give out trophys ***tears/free stuff may happen*** sit down roll huge J & think to self " well now doughnut,won't be doing that again for a while "

To those who haven't enjoyed an ACD cup , you can play stoned spot the ACD cups in a few shops fuck htcc we know which 1 they all really want have fun ACD if I start saving now , I might just make next year

Cup

As I said back in January here: "As for a Cup, if people want to do it then I don't mind doing some admin, even maybe buying a cup, but I need a partner in crime. Someone to champion the idea, rally the troops, etc. Anyone want to take it on?"

This year it looks like the majority of people are only around from the 19th to the 21st so that doesn't give us much time to check out shops or present cups. In view of that maybe we should just have one cup rather than 1st, 2nd and 3rd. In which case we'd surely finish up giving it to Utopia to add to their collection.

Pijp Crawl

Did we come to any conclusions on this?

Personally I've always thought of the Pijp as a daytime destination - when the Albert Cuyp market is open. Of course these days including Graal in the crawl means being there after 6pm.

Those of you who will be there in time for Danny211204's crawl on the Tuesday could try to steer that in the Pijp direction. If you finished up at Graal at 6 then you could join 1st Born in Utopia a little late and then join me in Voyagers/Batavia after that.

Most importantly we need somewhere good to celebrate 4:20. C'mon people, what are we going to do?

I suggested 420 Coffeeshop (formerly Dutch Flowers) or doing a Pijp crawl on the Wednesday and celebrating in Katsu. Nobody has reacted much to either of those suggestions, either for or against.

We could just stay in Bluebird of course.

Lemming Since I,m first on ground I could hand out forms for cup ,if you email a copy of a voting form .I,m going to see people all week and can make sure Danny,s crawl has forms to vote.

Sounds like we have a volunteer!

The previous Cups have been organised by the likes of Hestia, Trad and ftCarer. They each had their own ways of doing it. I'll have a look around to see what I have in the way of old voting forms and send them to you. If you take this on, though, it's really up to you to decide how it's done.

In some cases we had shops nominated in advance by specific votes or by popularity on the forum and/or main site. On other occasions it was a free-for-all. When we had nominated shops we tried to do crawls around all of them before 4/20. That could be tricky this year because so few people are arriving days before 4/20.

I suppose another possibility is that we throw it open to everyone on the forum to select a shop and we simply present the cup when we're there.

Anyway, as I say, it's up to you.

RE: The cup.
It would be a lovely facet to the holiday and I'm happy to chip in and help out no probs. I can certainly help champion the cause and can help Macky collate the info if that's helpful?

Thinking about ways it could work:
We could make the submission forms really simple with a singular nomination (or more I guess - a limit would be helpful reduce the collators workload though).

Any strain that receives more than one nomination is a contender. The strain with the most votes wins. Word of mouth around the groups should be enough to encourage people to track down the strains and test them if they're interested enough.

Using technology to track the results would be helpful though. We could start a voting thread - presumably with a poll?

Providing the contenders are entered into the poll before the 20th we could all vote that day and roll the results into our celebration or present it to the winner the day after? Most people are still around on the 21st or 22nd which gives everyone chance to vote.

Would that work?

I am getting excited and I won't be there do to health and a disability I'm a armchair traveler this year been to a couple of cups, and strongly recommend going for any of you guys still on the fence, so to speak meet some people and forget their names, smoke some pot forget the strain, walk some blocks and forget your way, Spring time in Amsterdam is magical

@OneHighMofo - Nice one. I'll leave you to discuss with Macky how you'd like to divide tasks. Actually our previous cups have been for coffeeshops rather than strains but that doesn’t mean this one has to be.

I've been chatting with Macky about a cup and he's favouring opening it up to the whole forum, voting in advance and then those of us there presenting and partying.

He suggested a week for nominations followed by a poll for votes and asked me to set this up so I'll start a new thread for it soon.
