Does anyone know if they let aliens into their Coffeeshops?

It makes the difference whether I stay in a Den Bosch or Eindhoven hotel when I go to the Hieronymus Bosch exhibition. I'll only stay one night but I'd rather spend time in the magical town.

But without a C/S to chill in.

As far as i know, Den Bosch is a no-go. But I've been there last year before they revoked Wietpas in Eindhoven. My friend who lives in Eindhoven is 90% sure that wietpas is still in action there.

You can't get inside, there's usually a bouncer at the entrance. That's how wietpas works. I'll call my friend tomorrow and ask him about some updates or whether he could check the situation. Will get back to you and Spider as soon as i know sth.

It's a residence permit card, but my friend told me(and he could buy everything in Eindhoven area when wietpas was still in action there) that when he entered Tilburg, they didn't let him in one of the coffeeshops cause his residence permit "wasn't local".

As far as I know only Eindhoven is opened to tourists in Noord Brabant unfortunately(personally still have high hopes for domino effect ). Personally I'd just ring them in 's-Hertogenbosch for informations if not sure(never been there yet).

By the way, since I know Eindhoven quite well I'd suggest De Bakkerij and La Folie for socialising, both pubs. Former one(lively!) belongs to coffeeshop Apotheker, latter one is more laid back as far as I remember as I haven't been for ages in this particular establishment.

Otherwise as usual Pink for weed and hash, The Wall also for weed and especially hash. Enjoy !

As you put it so kindly yesterday in the thread of The Stud, you should take care if you leave Amsterdam for any other dutch coffeeshops or what ever as you may be considered a 'fucking tourist' there !

One question, do any of the shops have a Verdamper? That would be so spot on.

@Jesscass, no I've actually never experienced such treatment, because I'm respectful of house-rules/customs and speak to them in Nederlands. In any instance it ensures that they're not passive-aggressive cunts towards me, unlike some posters on this site. With that in mind I still manage to be more well-received/treated local than the Germans, as the Dutch pretty much loathe the Germans and so does their government, considering that DE is half the reason the weed-pass was started in the first place (the other half being you guessed it those even bigger assholes France). Ja, das ist so arschgeil ....typische Deutsche! Dus mijnheer, zeg ik je een hartelijke "flikker op" hoor, want je ben echt een luletje!

Funny thing is I was about typing 'in your case' or check out calm coffeeshop High Times if you're after that sort of place.

Hope it's not too late as there definitely is a verdamper at coffeeshop High Times since ages. Pointed out in my lost overview regarding Eindhoven(I plan on reposting soon, guess why ). Used it last August in 2015 and a couple of times before, more of a friendly locals joint bit out of the way but worth a visit(I think they even had some Candy Kush last time in August, beside that the usual suspects outside of Dam on offer). Personally I liked it more before the reconstruction but enjoyed my both visits in August. Enjoy!

See, blaming random nations for the dreadful wietpas is just nonreflective echoing of frothy talk of certain types of dutch authorities(not of the most open minded ones). Especially those unnecessarily prejudices are particulary thoughtless. If that's your idea of integrating into a random culture well done! Problem is bigger than just blaming neighbouring countries it's only a lame excuse.

Talked to a lot of dutch people of all ages during the last decades about dutch coffeeshop culture and the majority is quite conservative towards them(especially with them born before the 1960ies but their seeds of fear and anger grew). There is a difference between Amsterdammers and the rest of the Netherlands regarding this point of view though(nothing to do with border areas it's all over the country!).

At best some of them tolerate coffeeshops, this is the point though as there is an essential difference between tolerating instead of accepting something. It always was quite an grey area thing! In other words their crappy tolerance policy is so out of date these days as pointed out numerous times before. It's just their own making as they don't have the balls to legalise since they signed international anti-drug contracts decades ago while indeed hassled by hypocrite neighbouring countries for their once progressive drug policy. Everything else is discriminatory injustice.

Above all since they're , historically speaking, a nation of traders and former colonialists and nonetheless don't want foreign money at coffeeshops I suggest closing their borders and wallowing in self-pity while blaming others instead of binning the back door.

Main point: Apart from that if you're a tourist approaching someone politely while speaking a second language(one official let's say English)and getting a disrespectful treating, who is wrong then? Especially at the service sector?

In opposite if you're an impolite tourist and expect everyone to kiss your ass in your mother tongue you're just an ignorant fool. The same goes for those dutch budtenders only expecting Dutch though. Xenophobic to say the very least!
Not to mention coffeeshop subculture is as said above not even that accepted when it comes to the majority of dutch people. So laughable. Often one group of human beings think they're more special than the other ones! By the way as also said before personally I'm not there to make friends with coffeeshop staff it's all about the quality but of course I appreciate a nice atmosphere and reception as I too know how to behave
(So in fact I prefer honest antipathy instead of empty phrases and a fake smile as long as I get served correctly). Their social and service skills tend to be pretty poor(I can relate to some point as you have to handle different types of people and it's all about drugs in the end so can be really annoying. It's their job though. ). Don't like those always stoned impatient budtenders who easily get annoyed even though you just want to look at two products by the way.

Conclusion: it's okay if you, DeLeuksteNUGS16, speak to them in Dutch but the same with any other official second language as long as everyone is respectful. It's 21st century, isn't it? You're not a slightest cut above the average tourist just because you speak the local language.

It just seems you like to ridicule others. I hold myself back in the 1eHulp thread but it seems you can't deal with criticsm of certain shops(or in general?). Personally enjoyed most of your reviews in the past but I speak up if I disagree. It's about free speech, that's all. Now it looks like you try to get away from your statement of 'fucking tourist' by generalising all dutch people act like you claim.
Direct your anger, please! For example at those dutch establishments in the service sector exclusively expecting their own language. It's about money, especially there not stupid national pride(personally don't give a fuck about any nation on this planet including the Netherlands; I care about people).

Also please don't try to offend myself in Dutch it's funny and childish! By the way I was skimming reviews on Google about The Stud and the allegedly owner of that place offered small gifts to those posters rating the shop well there. Even though I know this is business as usual with other owners too(respectively other methods, for example giving out papers or lighters or free drinks to influence opinions of too often spineless people)I don't appreciate that much, especially in such an offensive way. I would most probably at least take a look when I'm in a certain area though.

Maybe you should smoke less or take a bit of a break.

Was about to ask whether the Eindhoven coffeeshops are still open to foreigners as I'll be in the area tomorrow & was specifically going to ask about High Times as it's just round the corner from where we'll be. Sounds like I should be able to get served, which is good news. Decent gear? Any recommendations in High Times? Cheers.
