Passport trouble

Post by pan4gold49 »

Yes you guessed it screwed by the passport service.
A ruined honeymoon.
I guess this about how bad our passport people are. I applied for a passport they received my paper work on the 25 of January but there was a problem with my parent’s birth dates. So they sent me a letter to that fact two weeks late it was sent March 5 instead of February when it should have been sent. On Monday march 19 I called the passport information line and got a hold of a very rude lady who would not take my wife’s credit card for expedited service and my debit card was drained at the time. From what I have gotten out of the passport people she should have put me in expedited status then I had been in the system over 20 days then. I called again Wednesday 21 of March again given the wrong information today they finally got it right. But alas I wont get my passport in time thanks to our government who won’t do there jobs right. Because I booked thru cheaptickets there is a 20% charge for rebooking so no honeymoon. What a way to start a marriage. So after calling up the senator I just might pull this off lets hope. I am waiting for the call back from the passport service.

Unlucky man that sucks. Passport was supposed to cost me £60 and i sent away for it but they ended up sending it back with a lot of problems. I ended up having to go to an office to get it and it costs me a total of £142. Which is ridiculous really..

Don't feel too alone. The annual spring rush for passports combined with the new rules requiring passports for Caribbean and Canadian travel has overwhelmed the passport office. Yours is the fourth tale of woe that I have heard in the last month, all with the same problem. Lets just hope they get it all straightened out for you.

That's cool, though it leaves one question open:

Did you vote for Sen. Bennett?

Congrats to you both.
