Hello Twinkles,
here are a couple of suggestions for you to consider.
For Belgian beers plus many others http://cafe-belgique.nl/
For tasty breakfasts and meals http://omelegg.com/ the one at Nieuwebrugsteeg 24 is the nearest to your residence.
I am also an 'on foot wanderer', bike riding is OK but after beers and smokes it eventually becomes a liability ( I don't want to or don't feel up to riding it any more and worry about forgetting where I left it ) I have been out on one once and came back without it because I had forgotton , until the next day, that I had hired one. I do that with jackets too, left on chair backs, so basically only go out these days with just cash in pocket, phone or camera locked in hotel safe.

I have been "training" for my next Amsterdam trip since my last trip. I recently upped my daily walk to 6.5 miles (10.5 klicks for you Europeans). I think that should cover me.
