Day Trip 27th March 2007

Another trip to my fav place! I just cant seem to keep away, i was only going for a day but the excitement was killing me. Got up nice and early again (4.00am) and went to the Airport. Was just queing to get on the plane when there was an announcement...... "the 7am flight to Amsterdam is delayed!" Fuckin Great!!!! I only had 10 hours in total there anyway and by the time the plane took off (11am) i only had 6 1/2 hrs. I was already seething by this point and i knew only a joint of Chocoloupe or something was gonna chill me out.
Skinned up my first joint of the day at 1.30pm. Ah well i may as well make most of the time i have left so i went straight from the train station to the Greenhouse Effect, picked up some Northern Lights and some NYCD Haze. The NYCD Haze was fantastic, perhaps not the strongest weed ive ever had but certainly a flavoursome one, lovely taste. The c/shop was having the electrics re-fitted so i slipped next door to the bar area to skin-up.
I left the GHE with a decent grin on my face, after all, the weather was gorgeous and i was stoned. I didnt need more than a t-shirt on all day.
From there i trotted up to Grey Area to see John. I got some Chocoloupe and yes it really does taste kinda chocolatey, quite a specimen. Also got some Grandaddy Purple some Grey Haze some Bubble One some Grey Berry and some AK47. Grey Area`s menu has nearly trippled in size in the last 6-7 months. There are loads on there that i havent even tried before, and it seems that everytime i go in another few have been added to the menu. It was hard to see what the gear looked like in the shop as it was very very dark. Yes, they were having their electrics done too. What are the chances of that.... 2 c/shops visited so far. both with no electric!? I just used my nose to sniff out the good stuff.
Nipped round the corner to sit outside Amnesia for one of their famous milk-shakes. What a scene - overlooking the canal, with a bong full of Grey Haze with the sun beating down watching folk cycle past with not a care in the world.
I didnt want to sit here all day (although i would have liked too) so i walked up to Tweede Kamer to purchase some Rifman Hash. Good ol' Rifman hash, really nice softish stuff. Those who havent tried it - Do it!! You will not be disappointed!! Didnt stay here as there was no room so walked up to De Dampkring to get some of my old favourite Super Silver Haze. Again this weed has a very unique flavour and taste. The effects are very "fuzzy" too.
I took a slow walk back to the RLD. in particular, Ricks Cafe. When the sun is out i cant think of i nicer place to sit outside and have a smoke. It was like summer time, everybody was sat outside. People laughing, drinking, socialising and smoking everywhere. Stayed for an hour or so and managed to pick up some Eiselweiss. This stuff is a heavy smoke, but very enjoyable and only 8e pg. I was nearly gettin a tan - IN MARCH!!!
After gathering some motivation i went to Stix to see if they had any nice new hash in stock. The usual girl pulled out some Indian Cream. This was what i was after - "Be careful" she said "its very soft". Shit! she wasnt kidding. It had a nice shiny "skin" to it and was extremely soft. The taste was nice and spicey and the effects nearly made me slump off my stool. I felt like i'd had enough. but i hadn't finished yet. BTW it was 49.50 for 5g.
I only had an hour or so left so i went down Warmostraat for a peek. Had a quick drink in Bar Sheeba, possibly one of the most underrated c/shops in Dam. Ive always liked it here. OK maybe the weed aint the best in town but the staff and atmosphere are very good. Managed to sneak into Hunters too before it lost its weed license. Shame really cos i liked it in here. Still prob pop in tho if only to chat to the Barmaids.
So there you have it..... Amsterdam in a day! (well 6 1/2 hrs). I Will prob do this again but only if i can guarantee the early flight to be on time. lol.
Got some really nice souveniers too, got enough to last me till May at least.
Had to post this while at work. my PC isnt workin at home and hasnt been for 2 weeks. I dont know whats wrong with it either.
Hope this gets all you 420 lot all moist!! Plenty of nice smoko in Dam to be had right now.
Cheers
