I think we popped in there during a Pijp crawl back in 2012 (day 3 about 1/3 down the page). I don't remember much about it though. There were quite a few of us that year and it was particularly chaotic. Several shops we arrived at and, while I was taking pictures outside, the start of the line would file in and then the first few would reappear again and declare that we were going somewhere else. In most cases I never found out why and just followed along with a stoned grin
Probably too ambitious but I did wonder about combining a Pijp crawl with crossing the river to the new Speak Easy and the other shops around there.

If all else fails the best bet is to get to Utopia. They know us in there and are very friendly.
In earlier years the Nes used to serve as a good meeting place. DC and the staff there were good at bringing people together.
For instance, I have a very clear memory of one particular occasion. There's a guy called Rez (or Rezin_8_ed) who used to post a lot on here and was very enthusiastic. One Gathering (2007 I think) he didn't know what I looked like nor me him. I was standing at the bar in the Nes with another customer standing next to me. DC behind the bar came over and said to me "have you met Rez yet?". "No". "He's standing next to you."
These days Utopia performs that role. In fact it's probably even better because it's smaller and we often take the whole place over so we're quite obvious. Even if we're not there it's worth asking Ingi or whoever is working there whether she's seen us recently and when she next expects us in.
