Well a kind invitation of hospitality would be rude to not accept - what a lovely gesture from them and thanks for the summary.Lemming wrote: ↑Tue 7th Feb 2017 06:45 pmYes! But I'll summarize for you.OneHighMofo wrote: ↑Tue 7th Feb 2017 12:29 am Also deffo up for some type of Eastern crawl - what's the invite about Lem? I searched the thread but couldn't find the details. Have I missed it?
The original idea was to meet at Ballonnetje and then attempt a long crawl around the east culminating at The Stud.
In reality the chances of us getting as far as The Stud weren't high but I'd been in correspondence with Stud's owner Silvio after he sent me a photo of the shop. I mentioned to him that we might be visiting and he said that we were very welcome and that he would have a little surprise for us.
When I mentioned this on chat with DeLekkersteNUGS16 and others there seemed to be some enthusiasm. The thinking being that if the owner is offering us some kind of VIP treatment then it's worth making an effort to get there.
A further complication is that the carnivores will be wanting to get to de Klos for their early dinner so we will only have a limited time. They can get tram 7 from near The Stud to the Leidseplein so it's easy but that still means we only have until about 4pm.
So, I'm thinking of abandoning the long crawl, at least for that day, and trying to get as many people as possible straight out to The Stud for a serious session. They've got a Volcano and a PC from which we can do live posts.
If it's a nice day I might walk back into town via various coffeeshops. Anyone not rushing off to de Klos would, of course, be welcome to join me.
It's still early days and this is only a suggestion. We could still do an east crawl on another day or on the way back from The Stud. We could consider this to be the far east crawl and do a near east crawl on another day.

I notice we haven't got any Utopia meets on the itinerary yet. How about meeting there after de Klos, say about 8pm on 19th?
I'd definitely be up for heading back from the Stud via some other shops. I'm a somewhat reluctant vegetarian these days too so although De Klos sounds like heaven. I'll most likely pass. Either day for that jaunt is fine by me; we'll be settling in on the Monday looking forward to the Batavia session - probably CS hunting and contact catching getting seriously stocked up in the afternoon early evening and heading over to the Batcave to eat and sesh the fuck out.
Tuesday looks like a good day for cycling and strain hunting round town before the Macksters B'day Bash - we'll probs start at the customary La Grotte for Breakfast and hit the shops at that side of town and through the spui ending up at Rookies/noon/Betty I think.
Wednesday looks great to me. 420's itinerary already looks like a safe bet, Nathans 420 crawl out east sounds like a plan - there's a couple more shops I want to try for first time: t'Keteltje, Supermarkt.
Friday will be a relaxing day around the centre if I'm heading home - hopefully I'll make it to the Bluebird that day. I have a list of things I'd like my little group to achieve - especially if J is with me as it's only his second trip and this lad is a smoking legend. He's a fucking mine-field of strain knowledge a super nice dude and I'm dying to get him involved
There's also other the shops I've never been to - namely Jonny, Funky Monkey and the ones Lem has already mentioned. If we make it to De Pijp at any point I think I'll favour Ibiza and Carmona over Katsu this time just for the change of scene and continuing the visiting new shops vibe.
