Shops near The Concertgebouw

Hi, I need some advice on some shops near the hotel I'll be staying at in June.

I'm at Hotel Verdi at 9 Wanningstraat. Map:

I'm in the 'dam to go to the Concertgebouw around the corner from the hotel for a couple of symphony concerts, in addition to a couple of opera performances at the Muziktheatre. The ACD lists plenty of shops to the east, near the Albert Cuyp Market and so on and to the west, but nothing near my hotel/the Concertgebouw.

I'd like to find a shop or two near my hotel so I can get totally baked, come back to my hotel to clean up, put on a clean change of clothes and then go to the concerts/opera. I don't want to be sitting there listening to Stravinsky while reeking of a coffeeshop.

Any recommendations y'all can provide will be most appreciated. 8)

the ACD map doesn't go that far south. Maybe your best bet is to pick some up on your tram ride down there. you could get some edibles (cake, bon bons) for the concerts. that would be really nice

D'oh! Never thought of space cakes. They would be very cool for the opera especially, I could munch a little bit between the acts. Thanks for the idea!

The closest coffeeshops that I could find to The Concertgebouw is The Noon (known for thier Blueberry), Zieseniskade 22, heading NE from your hotel and going thru the museumplein and The Noon is just over the bridge from Rijksmuseum. The other closest shop is de Graal on Albert Cuypstraat.

Ah, thanks for the recommendations Puffin13. I actually spent about two hours the other day using the map site I linked to above and then entering the address from the ACD for the two zones near the hotel in and plotting it out on a map. I didn't find anything near the hotel, so I really appreciate your advice. Thanks!
