Hows it goin y'all.

Just finalizing some plans for a last minute trip to Amsterdam for 420 to meet up with some friends.

The whole ACD site looked pretty rich, thought i better get some advice. Ill be making some posts on the 420 board.

Actually, I think Ill take some time to ask some quick questions here (if anybody actually reads the intro boards....)

I'll be arriving at around 1 o'clock on April 19th while one of my friends will be arriving earlier in the morning. Therefore, we require a meeting spot. As neither of us have been in Amsterdam before we are not well acquainted with the area. Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice coffee spot that isn't too far from the airport yet cozy enough to loaf around for a few hours, while not being too difficult to find.

Also, the first few days will just be the two of us. Around the 21st more friends will be arriving. We have yet to book any accommodations. At this point in time I am just finishing exams and would rather not bother with bookings. Would you guys anticipate a problem if two of us were looking for a hostel (nothing nice, just bed and shower) for the nights of the 19th and 20th upon our arrival?

Any input would be MUCH appreciated.

The airport is not in town. So, you'll want to pick a spot maybe near the train station where I assume you'll be arriving from. Generally I stay away from the Centrum (nearest the station), but I've heard De Kuil is good shop and it looks pretty easy to get to. My favorite shop in the Centrum is Greenhouse Centrum, it's fairly easy to get to. That was the first place I stopped on my first trip. The last trip my first stop was Siberie, which is not too hard to find. Maybe the best thing is to find a good coffee shop nearest your hotel, and make that a meeting point. Make sure all your friends have maps. I always take a compass. Good luck and have fun
