some ACD people. I am 25 years old, going to a'dam for the first time with my girlfriend.. I am friends with some guys at HIGH TIMES and they have recommended many places that we have to visit..

My girlfriend and I are planning on travelling europe for several months.. Plan on being in a'dam for couple of weeks. Currently we are trying to find hotels that are charging around 100 dollars a night???

Anyone planning on being in town may 7th let me know.. Would love to get to know fellow stoners better and meet up, hopefully.. I love snowboarding, surfing, wake boarding, reggae, all music really, good smoke, travelling, and dogs! Peace and love everyone..

Ccheers,
Dan and ariel

If you dont mind me asking, what are the coffeeshops that your freinds from High Times recommended? I'm really curious.

If you wanna hook up with other like minded people, check out FlyByNites "Who's In Town" website at
http://www.black-arts.org/~reatta/WhosInTown/InTown.htm
There are not only peoples from ACD but also a couple of other Amsterdam forums. Peace.

Funky, I would love toget to know you guys better and congrats on the marriage!! What better place to honeymoon?? Anyway, Ariel and I are both looking forward to the bike riding.. Email me if you would like rimerdaniel@yahoo.com and we can exchange info..

HIGHTIMES Recomendations:

Grey Area- Pricey, but lots of good smoke
Rezin- High times hang out this past Cannibus Cup-good Hash
The noon- try the blueberry and cherry pez
Barney's Breakfast Bar- Best breakfast ever- and very good selection of hash and smoke
Green House- Not the best smoke they said, but cool place to hang.. (however, I have noticed that Green House has a BUTT load of awards)

So yeah this is what my buddy aka Grow Geek over at HT told me.. He also said I have to try the Australian Ice Cream at least once because it is amazing, there is street vendors selling it everywhere..

He also said to look out for the bikers (not hells angels) he said if I hear a bell to move the fuck out of the way!!!

Anymore questions let me know.. I have done lots of pre-trip research.. I am busy trying to find a decent hotel for 100 dollars american a night..

Ccheers

Hotel? Why not apartment?

Hey there sirsmokes!

I would suggest going with citymundo (www.citymundo.com). I used them last time, and am using them this time as well. A cat. 4 apartment (the highest/nicest/most expensive) worked out to be 54 euro pp pn for 2 people for 10 nights. I know its 'slightly' more then you are looking for, but I think the few extra bucks is worth it having your own Amsterdam apartment. Ours even includes a computer with fast internet access!

How long will you be in town? We arrive on the 17th.

Thanks sirsmokesalot for posting the shops that High Times recomended to you. Not too surprised about GH and Barney's. Mellow Yellow has the same menu as The Noon. You might want to try the Super Silver Haze from there also. It's awesome!
You can get a decent room, for under $100, including breakfast at Hotel Abba on the Overtoom. They fill up fast, so book early. Peace.
