11000 in 1 year?.
In the 30 years of 'troubles' in Northern Ireland 3468 people were killed.....in 30 years, that includes bombs.....and they thought that was crazy!?!. Ya could say I s'pose that geographically speaking, that would tally up. 3 million, 30 years, 3000+ deaths.......300 million, 30 years, 300000+ deaths. It's a reasonable argument, cept while gun sales go up so will the deaths attributed to them. Eitherway, until gun numbers fall....if you live in America, enjoy the next 30 years?.

I think that this is the reason the we should close our boarders have national ID's and make sure the constitution should include Amerikkkans only.
Our schools that we paid for should be for citizens only as well. other than short visits no foreign livers.

I'm waiting to be convinced that any good can come of hand guns and semi-autos. I've got some good friends that bow hunt. Now that seems a little fairer to the game...

I think that this is not the proper link for that but if you would like to know my views on guns in the hands you can go to personal weapons link.

that's precisely the point
amerikkans (especially fat, white, self-satisfied amerikkkans, hmmm, rush limbaugh?) have long castigated outsider groups as "not having civilized culture" or as "those people"
poor don't work
blacks can be sold as slaves
jews, italians. irish, etc. are lazy cause they ain't WASPS
& Japanese can be atomic bombed, Koreans & Vietnamese & arabs can be killed en masse "cause they don't value life as much as white people do"
all cause they don't live up to the amerikkkan ideal of the cowboy
Truth is, it's amerikkka that shows it does not value life, even the life of it's own citizens, by putting up w/ the massive murder rate that results from having guns so easily available.
the threat ain't from some loner student or some street thug, it's the "law abiding" gun dealer that sells guns to anyone, anytime for $$,
or the "law abiding" NRA criminal who resells the gun to a thug to be used on the streets, or stolen and used, or simply taken from the "law abiding" gun owner by their kids who want to play russian roulette

I love how people are using "Amerikkka." Cmon people! That is just backwards minded =)
A lot of people do take criticism as a personal attack. It happens alot. I tend to disagree a lot with people, mostly because I live in a very very conservative place and im very liberal in nature.
The other day a student made a opinion piece about legalizing marijuana and the Amsterdam comparison. People started jumping to the conclusion that we should legalize rape too since rape is legal in certain countries and their is less of it. Its simple minded bullshit.
I think there is no right answer to the situation. You can only lessen gun related crimes by having the best possible laws.
There should be an outright ban on all handguns. The only people allowed to have handguns are police and military forces. Civilians who want weapons for personal protection should have to apply for it and should be limited to weapons they can have. Hunters should be able to have rifles. I don't see assault weapons as a problem because they are rarely used in crimes, most likely because they are too expensive.
I come from a state where its so easy to get weapons and everyone has one.
I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE SHOT A GUN! I have also never had the need to, but I do understand guns are like condoms. You don't necessarily need one, but youd hate to be caught without it.
This is why my girlfriend and I have decided to retire to France or the Netherlands

Good point, although I think there are some Arabs in Iraq. Also, our country was part of the invasion of Iraq too so it’s not exclusively an American war. But it was our states that did that not the people. Many on both sides of the Atlantic tried to tell Bush, Blair, Rumsfeld and Cheney what would happen if they invaded a proud independent country but they chose not to listen.

... and getting back to the topic, I’m sure we all have nothing but sympathy for those affected.
Whilst many on this side of the Atlantic, including me, feel passionately that encouraging people to carry guns is a threat to our freedom, most on the other side, including many members of this forum, feel passionately that any attempt to take away their right to bare arms is a threat to their freedom. I don’t agree with them but I strongly support their right to hold that opinion and state it here if they wish.

In amerikkka, every year, something like 28,000-40,000 people each year since the 1990s, die from guns. Even tho it’s a large country of 300 million people, it’s murder rate far outpaces the rest of the industrialized world.
Canada, a country of 32.6 million, has only about 700-900 deaths a year due to guns.
To compare, California alone (36 million people), a state roughly the size of Canada, has had 3000-5000 deaths by gun per year since 1990. Washington state, with only 6 million people, has 500-600 deaths/year from guns all by its lonesome.
Canada's rate is similar to those in Australia and France, and one-third of the US rate.
US lawmakers must like it that way. Look at their policies:
- The US law banning the sale of semi-automatic assault weapons, known as the federal assault weapons ban, was allowed to expire by Bush and the Republican controlled Congress in September of 2004.
- Concealed weapon laws are weakened state-by-state to allow more people to carry guns at any time of the day or night.
- Every year there are more than 4,000 gun shows in every region of the country. Thousands of gun sales happen w/o background checks even when the Brady Bill became law, by vendors claiming not to need a federal license because they are merely selling from their "personal collection" of guns, in the "gun show loophole", because many of these sales take place at gun shows.
& don't get me wrong, I hardly expect the Democrats to do much better than the Republicans. They don't have the guts to stand up to fascists like the NRA, the criminal lobby.
I guess it can only be attributed to the amerikkkan way, they really aren't like the rest of us.
They don't value life at all, things like oil & guns are more important.
(what? What'd i say?)
Simple conclusion from a simple mind.
I repeat, "Fuck I'm glad I left". HEY, "Show us your guns".

Glad you left too MH!

if you can't point out the stupidity of amerikkka what the hell kinda forum is this?
i mean, you banned the word "trolls" from describing idiotic troll-like behavior, now ur gonna ban reference to nationalities?
i haven't called anyone any names here, & i've only used them in other threads in response to the Cylons

who were born brain dead
The Cylons

can't seem to accept that amerikkkans are different from civilized people, they don't value life like the rest of us.
they can't even count deaths right
One year:
In 2002,
30,242 people in the United States died from firearm-related deaths – 11,829 (39%) of those were murdered; 17,108 (57%) were suicides; 762 (3%) were accidents; and in 243 (1%) the intent was unknown. [5] In comparison, 33,651 Americans were killed in the Korean War and 58,193 Americans were killed in the Vietnam War.[6]
http://www.bradycampaign.org/facts/factsheets/
&, i might add, only about 3600 US forces have died in the current Iraq war (altho 10s of 100s, if not 100s of 1000s of Iraqi deaths have resulted, but the amerikkkans don't really count arab lives as being important)
You have a bright political future, France would be a good fit for you. What, What'd I say

what, i can't be allowed to simply dash something off w/o running it by a New York Times fact checker? I realize no one, not even the Cylons

do that on this message board.
If you can conclusively prove me wrong, I will forthwith employ a fact checker to read over all my internet posts before i post them (but also
if you do the same tho your fact checker would have very little to check, i fear)
but since I have to check –
- the last time I looked, Iraq was a member of the Arab League of Nations.
From a paper on the The Washington Institute for Near East Policy web site: “Iraq's population is about 27 million. Sunni Arabs make up some 20 percent of the total, and would therefore number 5.4 million, with 1.35 million of them men of military age (for our purposes, 15-49).”
From the CIA World Factbook on Iraq: “Ethnic groups: Arab 75%-80%, Kurdish 15%-20%, Turkoman, Assyrian or other 5%”
i'll also give ya one example of dead arabs that amerikka is directly responsible for, besides what it’s done in Iraq & Afghanistan & in Guatanomo
amerikkka kills them by proxy every time Israel decides to continue in its amerikkka supported genocide. that's why Israel gets the most amerikkan military aid of any country
I do thank you for trolling around and questioning me on a small point in my post that might be a misstatement or goes beyond the simple connections most people need to read & move on. And making people waste time to point these things out to counter a snide remark that missed the whole point of what I wrote before

Trolling?
You really do use that word to describe anyone who disagrees with you in anyway.
Forget not playing the man, you are a pompous ingrate with the manners of a pikey! (look that one up)
You enjoy the annonymity that the web provides you meanwhile exhibiting 2nd hand knowledge you just googled or found on wikipedia all in an effort to make you feel superior to people you've never even met.
You my friend are the antithisis of a "Troll" you have my pity.
Face to face I'd call you a prick.......... and I'd be right.
Ban me if you like Lemming but this guy truely is a prick.

Face to face you'd cower like a widdle boy who wet his pants, ya bloody tosser.
You know very well what a troll is. A troll posts a doofus kind of a post to go off track, filled w/ inanities or absolute falsehoods who's only intention is to tie people up into knots trying to answer it, like your nonsensical post about Iraqis not being arabs.
& I've only treated you, Cylon

, the way you've treated me from the first time I posted on this forum. And I never went into the Argument Clinic you liked so much, you & the other Cylons

came out here to make arguments & try to confuse things.
But I see how your favorite slogan seems to be:
