so as you know I purchased my first glass on glass bong..a RooR blue series 500ml..37 cm tall..diffused..love it. Anyway one of my friends said a great way to use these types of bongs is to "glorod" evidently you heat a piece of thick or solid glass up with a torch until its red hot and then ignite the bowl with that. I have seen some videos on youtube of it and it looks like they are using some sort of special equipment made for it? Has anyone ever used this method? Anyone know where to get the glass pieces to use? I want to try it but am concerned about getting the glass to hot and having it explode...jagged pieces of red hot glass in my skin would probably kill my high....

my buddy had one of those....he got it at a headshop....looked like rod of glass with a 'color changing' glass marble on one end.

I'vee seen these things at several shops thru the years and had no idea till my buddy had that one a few months back.

His technique would be to hold it above the bowl (1/4 to 1/2 inch) and almost vape the herb rather than light it afire which it would if you touch it to the herb.

yea thats what I was thinking it was..for a more vape effect. I need to call my local headshop.
