Amsterdam Summer - Mmmmm! Volcano

Post by Professor Horsecollar »

Me and the little woman finally will realize a minor dream of getting over to the old country in something better than freezing weather - to wit, the first 2 weeks of August, and man are we jazzed.

We kick it off with 3 nites in A'dam, move on to Den Haag for 3 nites, drop down to Antwerpen for 3 nites, and finish up with 3 glorious days and nites in Haarlem specifically to enjoy the great Willie Wortel wares.

The more I read about the Volcano, the more I like. I love high quality Moroccan light hash, and I was wondering whether the Volcano does hash as well as it does grass.

Also, any tips on Belgium risks for our 3 nites in Antwerpen would be appreciated. Right now we just plan to bring sufficient baked goods to keep us discreetly buzzed, but wouldn't mind packing a couple Js if it wouldn't likely get us tossed in the calaboose or kicked out of our hotel.

you should be fine bringing a couple of Js in Belgium.

I would recommend visiting Brugges (sp?) It's east of Antwerpen, a really beautful old city w/canals. I visited my first trip to Adam. I only spent one nite, but it was worth it. Here is the Wiki link:

also you might want to check out the local brewery, if you like Begian beer. I only found out about it after my vist, but it's on my "to do" list.

Thanks for all the good replies. It's a family thing we have going here, and we have Lemming to thank for all of it.

We get into A'dam August 1st, and plan to set up HQ at KATSU. We'll be the geeks in the Texas get-up, and if you're smokin'... I'm buyin!!
