Do the CS's get dry after Cannabis Cup? I'm thinking about heading over at the end of November/early December. I have no desire to go during the Cup.

I had wondered the same thing myself, but thinking about it I would not believe it should be a problem since only a small percentage of the shops actually compete in the competition and they need to keep product in stock to be able to run a viable business.I am going to be there Nov 30-Dec 4.If you want then drop me a line and we'll have a meet and greet.

i've got no first hand experience but everything i've heard/read says that in some of the shops that compete may be a little low or out of their entered strains..............but generally speaking everything is back to 'normal' by a couple days after the cup.

Last year I arrived the day after the cup. There was no shortage of weed. The opposite is true. The shops that are in the cup, which isn't that many overall, sometimes put the weed aside until the cup week.So the weeks before can have a shortage of some strains. After the cup the shops are trying to sell strains they entered. The Cannibis Cup is a marketing ploy.It would not be very effective if they don't have the strains to sell after its over. That being said any time is a good time to be in Amsterdam, sometimes might just be a little better than others.I will be arriving the day after the cup again this year too.It has nothing to do with the cup though.I travel on Thanksgiving because no one else does.Last year I had the whole row(3seats) to myself.I'm a big guy so that is almost as good as first class, almost.

Around NYE it is slightly more expensive for smoke, only a few Euros though

Thanks for the replies. I see it would make sense to be able to market the weed after the cup. I know only a few shops enter, but it's the seed cup that counts in my eyes. Idealy you would want shops to carry the weed from your seed.
I only hope I can make it this year. I found out I'm getting sued by this lady I accidently rear ended over 3 years ago. You gotta love our legal system. Anyway, enough of that.

dont even incorporate the cup into your travel plans!! everything will be fine.

Most of the shops will still have all the weed you could ever want... it just might be a bit busier due to all the people going to teh coffeeshops for the cup. and staying for a bit after etc...

but anytime in amsterdam is a good time.. there is no bad season
