Im 17 so i won't be able to enjoy the inside of coffeeshops.
I'm thinking about getting a fake id like a drivers license is that a safe idea?

The budtenders have seen just about every fake id there is. They won't be fooled by it and you'll be tossed out. They do NOT want to risk their job or the owners license. Wait until you turn 18. Some of the shops, just to be safe have upped the age of entry to 21.

Just remember it's not only you who suffers if you get caught. I think there are some people who are looking for someone to screw up so they can find a reason to put the squeeze on coffeeshops. Especially outside Adam.

honestly i dont see how i would get caught cuz it looks exactly like my driver's license. If they don't like it they'll prolly ask for my passport so i'll just leave to "get it" and wont come back lol.

Do what you want, but getting a coffeeshop closed down will earn you a lot of instant enemies. You should wait less than a year and turn real 18. For some shops 21. You know when they raise the admission age by three years they are serious about keeping their shops open and operating. As I've mentioned before, the budtenders are experts at spotting fake IDs.

i'm not gonna cause one to close down with a fake id. I would be the one in huge trouble but the id cost me 150 $ it's an exact copy of my drivers licsense with hollowgram and evrything just my date of birth changed.
I'm going to europe for a month with my friend and we're visiting amsterdam we already made plans. I'll be careful.

When are you going to be in Amsterdam? I'd like to avoid being around when you are if you are going to do things like that.

Where did you get your info from?

I think you'll find you are gravely mistaken. It's the same if a pub gets caught selling underagers, there are serious repurcussions for the license holder.

As FlyByNight says, do what you want... but if I was you I would be sending your 18yo mate in to buy the stuff then find a smoker friendly bar to smoke in ... i believe you only have to be 16 to buy a pint in NL. You aren't obliged to buy beer here too, you can still buy a softdrink.

Oh i see alrighty i'll do that neldo.
So i'm assuming that smoking weed underage is like smoking a cigarette. right? Cause then i will def. have my friend buy it and then chill where i won't get anyone in trouble.

I'm pretty sure NL is same as UK on tobacco. You can buy tobacco if you are over 16. Honestly, do yourself and the rest of us a favour and get your friend to stop in quickly to grab some stuff to smoke then both of you go to a smoker friendly bar, there are lots of those... that way no coffeeshop will get into trouble. It's for the greater good afterall. There's more people than just yourself frequent these shops, so being selfish isn't fair on the thousands, nay, millions who have to come to NL to be priviledged enough to smoke without the long arm of the law slapping them over the head.

Do that, if a random police raid happens ya might get away with it....if not, yer fukt...along with the coffeeshop, but then, it's up to them to ask for your passport as the proper ID.
