not amsterdam but...
DH and I are heading to Humbolt county in Northern california next week to stay with some friends who relocated there many years ago. For those of you who dont know what that is, well lets just say its the closest place to amsterdam that america will see. Everyone grows and smokes and no one cares. The smoke is good too. SO IM excited.
I need a miracle everyday
You will love it. I used to live in Arcata. Youv'e got the ocean, forests and the mountains are not too far. In the summer, we used to head east to a river for swimming. Can't think of the name of it, but you can ask around. Moonstone beach has some great rock climbing. Also I would recommend visiting Gold Bluff Beach where the entrance to Fern Canyon is ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fern_Canyon ). Excellent hiking, and the beach has elk on it.
Of course all the rumors are true, loads of weed. Obviously, the best time to visit for this is early fall for harvest. I NEVER paid for weed when I lived there. People were more than willing to share buds they or their friends grew. I've even been tipped with weed. If I'm not mistaken, Trainwreck was conceived there.
Have fun.

I'm unsure.cattales1960 wrote:thats not a pig? what is it a sheep?
At first I thought maybe a donkey... then it kinda looked like a rat (see the snout, whiskers and ears) ... now it just looks like a friendly, furry animal - so who cares what it is, it's friendly and it's furry and those are the best kind
