Smoking Myths?

I got thinking today about how many weed related myths I've heard over the years so I thought I'd share a few and no doubt you guys have some as well, I'd be interested to see if these are international myths or maybe some have elements of truth?

Smoking with a hat on gets you higher : As ridiculous as it sounds I've met people who swear by this!!

Holding smoke in for longer gets you higher : no idea if this is true or not...

"You've gotta cough to get off" - when you cough (normally after a big bong hit) it gets you higer because the smoke gets to different parts of your lungs?

Lucky strike cigarettes are so called because many years ago 1 in 1000 (I've also heard 1 in a million) cigarettes contained weed.

Orange juice is the quickest way to sober up after smoking too much.

Can't remember any more off the top of my head but that should do for now

i think the orange juice one may be true , full of vitamin C so it helps the body recover quickly

That's only part true, and a very small part at that... it's placebo effect, psychosomatic .... it aids recovery, but it doesn't "sober you up".

fastest way down is put 3 tblsponns of sugar in a glass of water..drink,your straight in 5 minutes...sucks when that happens

Aye, blood sugar increase is the way to go ... as much as Orange juice has plenty of vitamin C and fruit sugars, it's the real shit (:lol:) you need to go for, like Bong says - spoons of sugar into a glass would do the trick

i love coffee when im smokin..lots of sugar too...thats amsterdam to me..smoke drink coffee,walk to next shop...coffee& smoke.

.great combo, great day imo,,then als fish n chips...stuff yerself, continue...im havin flashback..lol

that one about holdin the smoke in longer not sure if thats true, smokers guide said it was a common myth that just damages ya lungs but most the THC gets into ya body when you first breath in. but thats just what i read

Aye well that's obvious - I totally agree... but orange juice isn't doing you nearly a 1/4 of the good you think it is when you're eyes are falling out your head because you smoked a little too much
