Hello everyone,
I have been going back to Amsterdam many times since my first visit as a student in 1987.
Things have changed a little in twenty years, but it is still one of most favourite destinations in the world.
My favourite coffee shops in Amsterdam include; Dampkring, Barneys, Jolly Joker and Hill Street on Nieuwmarkt. I have a greater tendancy to chill with my friends these days [could be my age] rather than partying hard.
[My natural instincts still lean towards my original anarchic influences including Fear and Loathing and Electric Cool Aid Acid Test, which I admit keep me switched onto a need for a Psychedellic experience once in a while]
My friends tend to use me nowadays as trip organiser, to this end I have collected a great deal of travel info, always trying to find that next bargain I can hopefully share this.
Our next trip is set up and ready for July 12 to July 15, when eight of us [half fortysomethings and half babies, Twentysomethings] will once more drop into Schipol, catch the train, tune into the Amsterdam way, and drop out.
For my last three trips I have been using the ACD as a pointer to new spots in the city, and hopefully after this trip I too can contribute.
Best Regards,
