10th-12th June

Post by Mipsie »

Popping over with the boyfriend for a swift two-nighter. We'll be staying at the Old Quarter in Warmoesstraat and probably not roaming very far as it's such a short trip.

I've been trying to remember how many times I've been to the Dam now, but can't. I do have an Old Church T-shirt that's at least 20 years old.

Trip imminent, whoopee!

Post by Mipsie »

Our overnight bags are packed, and we'll be leaving home at 4 o'clock tomorrow morning. As always I'm thrilled skinny to be visiting my favourite city once again, and already plotting another playtime later in the year, maybe October. As always, I just wish I were a tiny bit richer so we could stay longer, or a tiny bit fitter so we could pitch a tent as we used to and save a packet on accommodation. Still, useless to repine and at least I can still just about make it on my own legs. As long as we can go, we shall go. :D Fortunately for me I have a large and stalwart travelling companion (I call him the bfg) to help me out. I've stocked up with painkillers but I hope once I get my mitts on the blessed Indica, I won't need them.

I recently lost my beloved old doggie, we've been mourning him deeply, and this treat is really lifting me out of the miseries. We shall drink a solemn to toast to dear Merlin, and always remember him.

I don't expect to get much sleep tonight, I'm like a kid at Christmas.

Will post a few pics and a no doubt garbled account as soon as I'm able.
