my friend bought a half gram bag of hash. dunno about weed.

If I am on a mission to try as many new strains as possible I always buy in half grams - and to be honest I have never been told anywhere that they wouldn't do it. Like others have said though, any place with a minimum buy might be a problem.

In some shops they have a 5 Euro min buy. so if its 10Euro a gram or more its no problem. If its less than 10 per gram you might have to buy a 5 Euro bag, so maybe 0.6 or 0.7. If its prebagged I walk away, if I wanted a bag of grass thats preweighed and I cant choose a bud then I'll stay in the uk. I go to dam because its legal. My favourite way is to ask to have a look at the buds, get a couple of strains out on the counter and then choose a specific bud. IE: that one please, drop it on the scale and see what it is. I'd much rather buy that bud that looks really good than a specified weight. if they dont want to, then go elsewhere, there is plenty competiion for my hard earned.

I guess if you just want a little taste. I don't think I'd ask for less than what they are offering unless I was buying a bunch. Club Media has less than grams at good prices, from what I've seen on the menu. If I was smoking bongs, maybe a 1/2 gram would do me, but not a proper joint.

Dampkring will happily sell you €10 worth of their €40/50 Waterworks. That much will get you higher than any €10/g weed I've ever had!

Other than that though, yeah just buy a gram FFS you're in Amsterdam.

Club Media has pre-weighed bags. Why buy from a shop that has pre weighed bags. What I'm trying to say, that people seem to missunderstand is that you should choose a bud that looks good to you, rather than buying a gram because that is how its priced. If a coffeeshop won't allow you to do this, why not go to a shop that will? If everyone did that the tourist rip off joints would soon go bust.

I don't think Club Media is touristy. Have you been there? I understand the concern about pre-weighs. I used to stay away from that, but I've got some killer grass from Bluebird that was pre-weighed. I think Bluebird, Katsu, Siberie and Club Media are all pre-weighed. They should let you check out a bag before you buy. They will at Siberie.

Its worth noting in other cities aswell a lot of the locals shops sell preweighed bags (I can think of loads in Utrecht), it makes the transacations easier I suppose. It dosent bother me that much.

ok, I've bought from Bluebird and I havent yet been to the Media. Still, I'd prefer to choose a bud or 2 out the tub and pay for that then buy a specified weight. If I'm buying in dam I'm not concerned about running out, so I dont want a 3gram deal if i can have 2 or 3 smaller bags. Variety is the spice of life right?

Yes you are right.

I prefer the same way....pick a bud and smoke it...If I´m happy with that, get another fine self-picked bud.

BUT I had some really great expierences with pre -weight -bags....
