Hi everyone,
Lemming said I should post an introduction so here it is (and thank you Lemming for the quick account authorization). I live in Dublin, Ireland, I'm heading to the 'dam for 4 nights on the 21st and my god is the anticipation ever killing me. I've had this trip booked since the 14 of December and I've been counting the days ever since - 13 to go! This will be my 3rd time in Amsterdam and I love the place but I've never had a completely satisfying time there. Last two times I was there with large groups for a weekend and none of the people I went with were as big into the smokaging as me. This time it's just myself and my best mate and he IS into the doobie as much as me. It's also the longest either of us will have been there. We're both seeking that elusive, insanely giggly, and deeply philosophical high that neither of us have had in years. So in order to try and ensure the trip is as brilliant as I have built it up to be in my head I signed up to this forum to help with the prep work, gathering data, making lists, and coming up with a fool-proof plan that I will then completely abandon and forget about as soon as I get my first taste of that sweet, sweet Amsterdam weed.
So, it seems from what I've so far found here on these forums that pure sativa or mostly sativa grass is what we should be looking to for the giggly high, and that indica will make us lazy and drowsy and monged, and we get enough of that from the dodgy, plastic filled hash we can get our hands on in Ireland. Am I correct on this one? Sativa the way to go? Or should we mix it up a little?
Another question I haven't been able to find much of an answer to anywhere on the 'net. Is there anywhere in the 'dam where you can get food, like lunch/dinner, and smoke doobie? Any coffee shops that sell proper food (beyond breakfast), or any resaurants that allow smoking?
Thank you for reading,
Foible

Greetings foible!
You would be on the money when you say sativa is an up and giggly high and indica being very dopey and drowsy ... i prefer the latter, even though we get the same low quality of shite here in Glasgow as you're reffering to. 'MON THE MONG, that's what I'm talkin' about
Enjoy yer trip and welcome to the board... also if yer planning a trip report, write things down because it'll be a distant memory by the time you land on home soil

If it says Haze on the menu then it is all good. Wish I had tried a few more indicas on my previous trips though, not touched much hash either in the dam, pity cos' there is some top notch stuff out there.
May I recommend Greenhouse Effect on Warmostrat as one of the best atmospheres in dam. Gear is not all that but it is a really nice little space to kick back for the afternoon in. You can also get a beer from the bar next door and smoke up. My fave spot in dam is by those windows. Just make sure they are not filling up the cellar when you walk in, bit of a death trap!!
Enjoy your trip bro'

1. yep mostly sativa strains give u that euphoric high, giggles included in price
but u can get the giggles on mostly indica strains but you,ll notice a lotta ra time that strains r say 80% indica with 20% sativa therefore giving you the high u desire plus the heavy stone,2 for price of 1
,but i would mix it up A LOT. go to greenhouse effect wormestraat 4 a bag of giggle, aka "GREENHOUSE SPECIAL"
2.As for meals & tokin BARNEYS if you can get a seat(allways busy, been told not2 bad early doors, but on hols bro aint gettin up early unless free ganja is gettin handed out),but your wantin beyond breaky, yep barneys again ,plenty places for meals but tokin in not too sure. anyhoo enjoy bud and BUD
even mare bud & if you like the greenhouse chocolate, wow what a dunt u get from that...GREENHOUSE NAMASTE,ETC not anything to do with grnhouse/effect,hope this puts more ideas in your head...ps hope the weather improves for your trip..................peace.......................oh greenhouse effect milkshakes
