Well im about to commence what for me is gona be the hardest write up of my trip ever as i dont remember much lol but i do know i had fun also got some nice photos for u.

So we arrived very nice got right off the plane and right onto a train to central station , good timing i beleive. We went straight to the hotel to dump our things , we were stayin at the Ibis at amsterdam central , cheap , and looked it but it was perfect for what we were doing , we only needed it for sleep and a shower and it served its purpose.

So we (me and my mate Hopton) decided to go find a headshop and get us a little pipe each. We can't roll to save ourselves so these came in very handy lol and then came the first mistake of our trip..... we were so desperate for a smoke we went to the first place we found which was Paradise and it was TERRIBLE!! horrible staff although the weed was nice , bought some Jack Herrer here and it made my arms feel lovely and i wanted to glide everywhere lol.

So after that we headed just out of the shop for a wander around , ended up next in Blues Brothers which inside looked really nice and seemed like a good place to get baked , we went upstairs and had a couple drinks , bought some N.Y.C Deisel and it done the trick (btw dont ask how much i bought in Grams cos i cnt remember ...any of them lol). Met a nice Canadian couple who we're friendly and the staff in the shop we're nice too.

More coffeeshopness to come in the form of Rockerij. This was in the running for one of my favourite shops of the trip... the decor was cool , nice nd relaxing atmosphere , even bought a t-shirt cos i liked the design but more importantly bought some Primera Hash , the 1st of the trip. Tasted lovely and i couldve smoked that all day.~

I also love the Morning Glory from Barneys. It isn't the strongest but that flavor mmmmmmm that and Sweet Tooth, both. NYCD is my fave all time strain though, I'd have to say if I had to pick just one. Luckily for me I don't lol

Nice pics mate. Spent a lot of time on that table in Pink Floyd on my last trip with some friends in january. Noticed the can of Iron Bru also, don't see it much here anymore!

Know what you mean about Paradise also, but glad you made the most of it otherwise. Thanks for posting the pics!

So here's part 2...

After a while in Rockerij we decided it was time to get something to eat so we walked along the street behind Rockerij and ended up in an Indian Resturaunt , cnt remember the name cos the 1st thing on my mind was food. Nice stuff really enjoyed it , had the chicken tikka :p

The Doors was next and i have to say just now that it was my favourite shop of the trip. Nice budtenders , they take requests for the music nd put on something everyone wud seem to like , had a few cappucino's nd they were delicious , liked the seating arrangement too it jst seemed like the perfect atmosphere. It was here i bought 1.5g of White Widow nd fuck it got me good nd baked for the rest of the night lol.

So naturually i get horny nd its the Red Light District for us . It was there i.....never mind lol.

We wanted a place to sit down and have a smoke with a couple drinks so the 1st place we seen was Grasshopper. Now i know it has some bad press but even tho it looked very like a chain kinda place , we got a seat in the corner nd jst sat chattin most of the nite which was fine by me , got to smoke our own stuff , bought a few drinks , the bar girls were delicious! lol seemed to be alot of hot tourists in too , always helps seeing hot girls after a break up lol.

Day 2..
Went to barneys for our breakfast , the staff we're friendly , had a couple coffee's too (which i dnt usually drink at home) and the food was fucking lovely , worth it. Was here i bought some morning glory which set us up for the day but wasn't too strong at all in my opinion. It's strange realising how much you actually smoke at home and you notice the people who dnt smoke so much easily , thats how u know u do alot lol , i didnt think i did.

Floyds was next on the agenda and on entering the shop we we're welcomed by a Scottish girl working behind the bar she was really friendly nd got us some Irn Bru , the stuff we enjoy from home the dealer was cool too. We only got a Pre Roll from here and headed upstairs where the big round table is and sat there for a while , we met spanish ppl , french people and americans , everyone seemed to come and go but us lol . i think we were too stoned to move smoking our own stuff too.

The french guys we met in here we're funny as hell and they didnt know much english but we still totally knew what they were saying and it was cool. They even started rapping in french and along with the pink floyds choice of ambient music in the background it was really good lol! we were there for bout 3/4 hours. needless to say after here it was back to the Red Light haha!

Central coffeeshop was next , where i bought some Haze , that was a nice smoke , liked the taste too but its nothing that stands out. Staff were cool here , let us take sum pics of the place as long as it wasnt of the customers , it seemed a little busy tho so we went for a kebab and a lie down.

It was back to the doors for the evening where i was introduced to such delights as eek-a-mouse , good raggae lol. quite a few ppl came nd went in here as we stayed until a shit load of guys on a stag do came in and ruined it all for us! there mustve been about 30 of them trying to cram into the doors and it felt very intrusive so we left to the rockerij. The freshly squeezed OJ my mate had blew him off his seat lol , i think he twitched everytime he took a sip haha

Went back to the doors , it was quiet agen and had a good night in there smoking away.

Onto our last day and we went back to floyds and we sat there watchin cartoons for what mustve been like 2 hours until a guy from Miami came in who was cool as fuck lol chatted for ages getting stoned , he even rolled us a gram of sumthing into a J and that sent us flying lol , met a couple from stirling too which was cool. I think on our last day we spent about 5 hours in there until they changed shifts of the staff nd the dealer came upstairs nd changed the t.v , we felt as thought we had outstayed our welcome.

So now im home and its rubbish , im outta weed lol.

I also heard Eek-a-mouse for the first time in Amsterdam, I was in the Oude Kerk (now Bushman) coffeeshop on the OZV canal. I loved the heavy bass and the cool reggae sound so had to ask the barman what cd was playing.....which led me to download a couple more albums. Everytime I hear the song 'Uptown Dread' it reminds me of being totally stoned in the coffeeshop before a slow walk through the neon lights!!!

Nice reporting there. You went to a few I didnt go to on my last trip.

the scottish burd was cool as hell , and someone i cud talk to without trying to talk proper so ppl wud understand me lol

I'm sure it was the same girl there on my last visit, wee lass, dark hair?? If it is her then she is an absolute legend. One of the main reasons that I kept going back to the Floyd in increasing states of stonedness. Always said goodbye when you left, thought that was a nice touch.

Fully hear you about the stag do bit. Always a headwrecker. Same as when peeps bring video cameras into coffeshop, guarenteed to put you on a downer on top of all that Haze an that.

Just back from my trip - Didny manage to get to Pink Floyd unfortunately - but did stumble across a place that sells Irn Bru - a wee food shop on Leidsestraat on the way to the Leidseplein!!
