Anyone been to this?

I've heard it's very interesting from variuos guide books etc, but would like to hear what it's like straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

And are there any good coffeeshops over that way?

Anyone?

Courtjester posted on the Het Ballonnetje reviews that the museum was worth seeing. I'm assuming this coffeeshop is close by.

I would definitely recommend a visit to the Resistance Museum -
I was most impressed by the range of artifacts and documents displayed to illustrate this era in the history of Amsterdam and Humanity....and yes, Het Ballonnetje is the nearest c/s...that I know of.....as well as being a "good" one to visit

yes i went in january one rainy day. well worth a visite it is opposite the zoo if u ask for directions (more people will know where the zoo is)cost about 5 Eruros.allso a tram runs past #9 and #14. The zoo is called artis if u see any signs.

Been there twice and even though the displays may seem a little dated the info about the war years is pretty fascinating.

Ballonetje is supposed to be one of the better shops in that part of town. Went by it but never stopped in since it was rather crowded at the time.

Hortus is more of a buy and go smoke elsewhere shop as they don't have any seating to allow you to hang out. It did have some pretty good smoke at a decent price the one time I stopped to get something there, but the reviews I have read recently say they have dropped the larger quantity deals.

Just back from my trip - Would say that the Museum is pretty good - But i'd agree that some of the displays are a wee bit dated too. Was a beautiful day when we went, so it probably wasn't the best use of the weather!!

Would recommend it for a rainy day though.......
