The sentence 'Everything on red' would probably make any trip I'd make to Vegas a short one.
When I stayed on the west coast one of the guys was doing a 'fear and loathing' type thing. Armed with E's, gel acid, mushrooms, speed, coke, crystal meths and weed he buggered off to Vegas for 3 days. Still in the same clothes he left in (cos he didn't take anything else) he came back $4779 up and accompanied by a stripper...that called herself....get this....'lucky'.

We started callin him the same....only with 'bastid' stuck on the end.

If this is your first time, stay in the middle of the strip. If you love to gamble, stay at the Gold Coast across from the Rio and Palms.
Palms is the best young casino, just off the strip.

Actually the entire strip is nice..I would suggest you dont gamble in the expensive hotels..I would suggest off strip casinos..After living there ten years you learn a few tricks..
Palms is the best young casino, just off the strip.
And actually the best young off strip casino is the Red Rock casino in the western part of town..Very enjoyable experience

stay at the Gold Coast across from the Rio and Palms.
I wouldn't stay here it is a bit run down and out dated..You can find great deals at other hotels..Just stay away from old vegas..The most northern part of las vegas blvd.

1. I like the middle of the strip for first timers. most people walk and the middle is better for them. I agree about gambling on the strip. DO NOT!!!
2. Love the gold coast, video poker is very loose and lots of $ 5.00 tables.
I usually make money or break even playing at this hotel. You get .75 cent hot dogs and they have a very cheap buffet. Also they have a fantastic early bird special. The rooms are old but you can walk over to the Palms or Rio and play or party.
3. The Palms, it has a young crowd and many stars do go to that hotel.
Especailly now with the playboy tower.

they have a very cheap buffet.
The rio has the World buffet it is a little more but the quality and selection of food is way worth it.

You would be just aswell served to go to The Orleans the slots and video poker are just as loose and they have cheap tables and the hotel is alot cleaner and more inviting..The Gold Coast is to dark inside..It's kinda creepy.

Rio does have the best buffet but it's about 3 times more money than the Gold Coast. But well worth the money if your a"BIG" Eater.
