New Coffeeshops Opened

Coffeeshop Espresso opened in the small town of Mijdrecht, in de Ronde Venen, south of Schiphol in March, 2007. This is a new coffeeshop, invited to the community and welcomed by local residents. Lovely interior with plants and a terrace outside. Accessible by bus; practice your Nederlands, see the polder. Quiet. Very few tourists.

Loft opened 1 June in de Oude Ouest, on Jan van Galenstraat at Hoofdweg. It is a new look for an old shop, trimmed in size and completely renovated, sleek and modern inside. For those of you who are ready to explore Erasmuspark and De Baarsjes. Light and airy.

These are sister shops of Siberie and others. They all offer the service, quality of product and ambience of the other shops. There is a website:

Siberie is a quality shop, so I can only hope the sisters shops are on par. I had their Outdoor Purple Skunk last time I visited. I was one of the highlights of the trip. Beating out smokes from Greenhous Centrum and Rokerij.
